Airbus A321 cabin layout (airbus industry) - the best seats. Which seats on the Airbus A321 are the most comfortable for passengers? Airbus a321 seat location

The Airbus A321 is the next generation of the Airbus A320, it has a longer version. The A321 model is the largest of the entire A320 family. The Airbus A321 can carry 16 passengers in first class and 169 in economy class. The total number of passenger seats is 185.

Airbus A321 photo

Budget operators and charter flights fly only in economy classes, then the number of passenger seats increases to 220 seats. If you want your flight to be comfortable, it is better to familiarize yourself with the aircraft layout in advance. The layout of the Airbus 321 aircraft is presented on the Aeroflot website, which makes it easier to find the best seats before your trip.

Now it’s worth taking a closer look at the configuration of this Airbus from Aeroflot. The most popular air carrier has 30 A321 aircraft and operates regular domestic, international, and charter flights. The figure below shows a diagram of the Airbus A321 cabin to make it easier for passengers to navigate. There are business class and economy class seats.

The best seats on the A321 plane

So, we go to the website of the most popular air carrier, find the “Reference Information” section, then “On Board”, then “Seat Layout”, and then select the Airbus A321 (cabin layout) - the best Aeroflot seats can be clearly seen here. It’s worth taking a closer look at the best and worst seats on the plane, and we’ll explain why it’s better to take a particular seat or not.

As can be seen from the figure, the best seats are considered to be the eighth row and seats A and F in “line” 20. Rows 1-7 are provided for business class passengers, here the distance between the seats is wider and there is more aisle. However, it is better not to choose the first and seventh rows, because the first row is located close to the toilet, and the seventh is close to economy class, and there, as a rule, it is noisier than in business class.

Good, standard, bad seats on the Airbus A321

Looking at the A321 aircraft (diagram), the best seats seem to be in eighth row. The fact is that there is an emergency exit there, so there is plenty of legroom. And when you get up from these places, you will not disturb any of your neighbors. Also, these seats are located at the front of the plane, which means that food will begin to be served from your seats. The eighth row is rightfully considered a place of increased comfort.

From 9 to 17 rows there are standard places, but now row 18 differs in that there is a toilet nearby and this is not very comfortable for passengers; near you there will almost always be:

  • queue to the toilet room;
  • people walk often;
  • may get caught if you are sitting in the outer row.

Airbus A321 interior

Passengers 19 rows there will be enough free space to put your feet, only there is a toilet nearby, which can spoil the impression during the trip. But the seats in the 20th row are distinguished by the presence of free legroom and the presence of a porthole through which you can admire the beauty of passing countries, seas, and oceans.

From 21 to 30 rows Once again, standard places follow, not particularly distinguished by anything, either on the good or the bad side. But seats C and D of the 30th row and the whole 31st are considered bad. “Line” 31 is again located near the toilet, and the backs of the seats in the last row do not recline. Food and drinks will be brought to you last; there is no way to speed up the process; you will have to wait until the flight attendants serve all the passengers sitting in front of you. Take these places only as a last resort, if you need to fly and have no other options.

Turkish Airlines is the largest Turkish airline that is part of the Star Alliance aviation association. The carrier has been repeatedly recognized as the best airline in Europe, from 2012 to 2015. the company was among the top ten in the world.

The main direction of transportation is international flights to Europe, America, Asia and Africa. The company's fleet consists of Airbus and Boeing aircraft. One of the most common aircraft is the Airbus A321. Turkish Airlines has 56 such airliners.

Use two modifications of the Airbus A321 aircraft cabin. They differ in the number of seats in business class and economy class. Let us consider them in more detail to determine best and worst places.

Option 1

In the first version, the cabin layout consists of two service classes: business and economy. Each of them has more and less comfortable places. Let's take a closer look at the salons.

Business Class

Business class has three rows of three seats on both sides. However, the middle seat always remains empty for the convenience of passengers; tickets for it are not sold. There is a lot of space between the seats. There is a separate bathroom and a kitchen nearby. If you are looking for seats for a comfortable flight with the highest level of service, then the seats in this row are just for you.

Economy class

In economy class, the seats are arranged in a 3:3 pattern in a row, except for rows 9 and 23 - they do not have seats A, F. The toilet rooms, which are intended for this class, are located only at the end of the plane.

Economy class starts from 4 rows and ends at 34. The first row after business class is separated from it by a partition. This causes some discomfort, because... There may be a feeling of enclosed space. But it does provide more legroom.

Seats located near emergency exits may not be occupied by all passengers. The following persons cannot fly in these areas: children, pregnant women, disabled people and foreigners who do not speak Turkish or English. Luggage must be stored on a special shelf during the flight; leaving it near the aisle is prohibited.

  • 34 row- the last one in the cabin. Behind it are the toilets. This guarantees crowding, unpleasant smell and noise. And the backs of the chairs are not movable. All this makes row 34 the most inconvenient for travel.

Best places

  • Rows 1-3 - business class;
  • 9 row seats B, C, D, E;
  • 10 row - A and F;
  • 24 row.

Worst places

  • 8 row;
  • 23 row seats B, C, D, E;
  • 34 row.

Option 2

The second option for placing seats on the Turkish Airlines Airbus A321 also includes 2 salons: business and economy.

Business Class

In this variation of the layout of the aircraft cabin seats in business class there are 5 rows, but there are 2 seats on each side, there is no free space between the seats, so passengers here feel more cramped than in the “business” 1st option. Overall, the cabin has the same features and perks as Option 1.

Economy class

This class starts from row 6 and continues until row 32.

6 row located immediately after the partition and in front of the emergency exit. All this gives additional legroom, but also a feeling of enclosed space, fixed backrests.

7 row similar to row 9 of option 1, row 8 – row 10.

Rows 20 and 21 similar to rows 23 and 24 of variation 1.

32 row- the last row. It has the same characteristics as the 34th row of the previous version.

Best places

  • Rows 1-5 – business class;
  • 7th row seats B, C, D, E;
  • 8 row – A, F;
  • 21 row.

Worst places

  • 6 row;
  • 20 row seats B, C, D, E;
  • 32 row.

To make your flight comfortable and leave only positive impressions, before purchasing air tickets you should familiarize yourself with the layout of the aircraft cabin and choose the best seats for yourself. Enjoy your flight on the Airbus A321 with Turkish Airlines!

Airbus 321 is the largest aircraft of the 320 family produced by Airbus. The first flight took place in 1992. Aircraft production continues to this day. According to the latest information from the company, in 2018 it is planned to assemble up to 60 aircraft per month. In terms of its technical characteristics and service, it differs little from its prototype, the 320, but due to more powerful engines it is capable of carrying a larger number of passengers and luggage.

The aircraft is assembled for a specific order - the customer is offered only an economy class version with a capacity of 220 people or a business/economy version with a capacity of 185 people.

Story

The French company began assembling the prototype of the 320 back in 1972. In the 90s, the 319th version first appeared, the main difference of which is the fuselage shortened by 7 meters. The remaining parameters are the same as the 320th. The first "Airbus" received a fuselage 7 meters longer than the prototype and in 1992 had the shortest flight range among the entire 320 family. Then, with modernization, the aircraft received stronger brakes, more powerful engines and an additional tank located in the rear of the cabin. The original the development was not planned, unlike plans for the 320, to create competition for the Americans, but the appearance on the Boeing 757 market forced the company to reconsider the decision to produce the 321, and the current model, 321-200, is a worthy competitor to the 757 , slightly inferior in flight range, but having a more spacious fuselage.

The first customer for the new model aircraft was the German Lufthansa. The 321-100 aircraft flew into its hangars in early 1995. At the end of 1996, the first Airbus 321-200 took off.

Interior layout by the customer

As already mentioned, the customer receives one of two layout options at the factory. However, that's not all. During operation, the customer can change the number of seats himself and thus convert the aircraft to carry more or fewer passengers. The documentation for the aircraft indicates how the cabin can be rearranged. Airbus 321 has a wide range of layouts. From economy class, where there will be 6 seats in a row, three on each side of the aisle, to business class, where there will already be 4 seats in a row. Wide-frame layouts are also allowed. There are only two restrictions - in any configuration the aircraft will have 1 aisle with seats on both sides of the aisle. The second limitation is inherent in the design: at the end of the plane there will be only 2 seats, one on each side of the aisle, and 2 rows opposite the emergency doors also have 4 seats in any layout.

Choosing a seat on the plane

Even a short flight can be a burden if you sit down and find that, due to the design of the airliner, the backrests of your seats do not recline, or people are constantly walking past you on their way to the bathroom. Therefore, when you go on a flight, you should ask yourself a number of questions. For example, this: “Do you like to watch flight?” If you like, you need to choose seats near the windows, keeping in mind that in front of some of them there will be wings, and all you will see is the movement of the automation during takeoff, landing, and change of direction.

Rows 15 to 22 on an Airbus 321 economy class aircraft have this disadvantage. In addition, the 25th row, being located in front of the second emergency exit, does not have the ability to recline the seat. At the same time, these seats are considered ideal for traveling couples, since in this row, even in economy, there are only 4 seats, 2 on each side of the aisle.

But if the plane flies at night, choosing a window seat will do nothing, but being in the rows in front of the emergency exits can cause many unpleasant minutes due to blocked backrests. In addition to the 25th, the backrests are also blocked in the 10th row, but, unlike the 25th, here the economy class includes 6 seats, three on each side of the aisle. The numbering is for economy class on an Airbus 321 aircraft. The best seats, besides those already mentioned, are in the 11th row - two seats on each side of the aisle, and there is an opportunity to stretch your legs. These places are located behind the first emergency exit. Passengers sitting in row 26 will also be able to stretch their legs, with emergency exit number two in front of them. This is how Ural Airlines aircraft are configured.

At the same time, the official Lufthansa website states that in the 10th row of the 321st airliner there are only 2 seats - on the right side. The left side of the row is free.

Plans and schemes

For a better understanding, here are a couple of aircraft diagrams in two use cases. The Poles fly only economy class, the Germans use planes in both economy and business/economy versions.

This is what the diagram of Airbus 321 (Poland) looks like; the interior diagram is also suitable for illustrating aircraft of the Ural Airlines company. The company uses 321 only in the economy version. The 11th and 26th rows are considered ideal. The window seats in row 26 may have some changes due to the emergency exit directly in front of them. Since there are only 4 seats in the 11th row, those who like to stretch their legs can also recommend the 12th row - two seats by the windows.

And for comparison, here is a diagram of an Airbus used by Lufthansa. The Germans use both economy and business/economy aircraft. However, only the first rows are different. The rest corresponds to the descriptions above. The 10th row is shortened, due to which there are 4 best seats in the 11th row. And due to the absence of one seat in the 25th row, a person who buys a seat 27D will also have the opportunity to stretch his legs.

It is a longer version of the A320. This is the largest aircraft of the A320 type. The standard Airbus A321 configuration accommodates 185 passengers in a two-class cabin (169 economy class and 16 first class).

This configuration can be increased to 220 seats for low-cost and charter operators, then the aircraft cabin will be one-class - only seats in economy class. And the number of different interior configurations can be in the dozens.

To know exactly which seats are best on the A321, you need to familiarize yourself with the layout of the aircraft in which you will fly. But often, to understand the principle of choice, it is enough to get acquainted with any scheme.

Consider the configuration of the Airbus A321, which is used by the most popular Russian air carrier Aeroflot. This diagram of the A321 cabin can be viewed on the website of the aviation company (Aeroflot official website).

A couple of general points about the seat arrangement in the Airbus A321 - their disadvantages and advantages.

1. The seats that are located next to the window have the advantage that you can look out of it during the flight (this, of course, depends on the flight time and weather). If you fly at night, this advantage does not count. Also, your neighbor will not bother you if he wants to get up. These places have one drawback - it is not very convenient to leave it yourself. Therefore, if you don’t need to go to the toilet often or you intend to sleep through the entire flight, choose seats by the window.

2. The seats located near the aisle have their own advantage - it is very easy to get up from if you need to go to the toilet. The disadvantages are that a neighbor may be disturbed if he needs to get up. Flight attendants with trolleys and passengers who walk through the cabin to the galley and toilets can also interfere. Therefore, if you are flying with a child and, most likely, you will have to go to the toilet often. Or you yourself need to go to the restroom more often, then choose from the edge of the seat.

    1-7 rubles. Business class. 1 and 7 r. are considered slightly worse than the others due to the fact that a partition is installed in front of the first row, there is enough space there, but the proximity to the toilets can cause a little concern. Places 7 r. close to the noisier economy class. If you are going to fly in business class, take from 2 to 6 rubles. places.

    8 rubles. Some of the best seats on board this economy class airliner. It's all about the emergency exit, which is located in front of them. There is much more legroom here. Also, you can get up from any of them without disturbing your neighbors and they won’t bother you. Another advantage is that they are located in front of the cabin. As a rule, drinks and food start at the end from the beginning, you will have a huge choice. These are places of increased comfort.

    18 r.. Given r. - standard regular seats in economy class. But their location near toilets makes them not very comfortable. The regular movement of people will attract attention and a “queue” will often form near you to the restroom, etc.

    RUR 19. Places located directly behind the emergency exit. As in the 8-room places, there is a lot of free legroom here. And it seems good, but proximity to toilets is not the best choice. That's why it's yellow.

    20 rubles. The chairs located near the windows are very comfortable. There is a lot of free space, there is room to stretch your legs and you can stand up without problems and look out the window. Great places.

    30 RUR, D and C. - proximity to toilets will most likely cause inconvenience.

    31 rubles. Let us separately note the last row. These places are not only located near the toilets (there will often be a “queue” for the restroom near you), but they also do not recline at all, since there is a wall directly behind them. These are the worst places, take them only if there are no other options.

    Ask an airline employee for advice

    If possible, carefully study the diagram of the airliner you will fly on.

    Do not take seats where the seats do not recline or are limited in their ability to do so.

    Do not take places near toilets, kitchens and other technical rooms at the very end.

Dear site users!

We hope that this article was useful to you.

If you have ever flown on an airline plane in your life, please share your feedback about the flight.

Clear skies to you, as the pilots say, and a soft landing!

It has 10 Airbus A321s that serve passenger transport. They are designed for medium-haul flights. Of course, before departure, many passengers would like to know the location of seats on Ural Airlines planes, namely the layout of the Ural Airlines Airbus A321 cabin and the best seats there.

First, let's look at some features of the Airbus A321. And, and you can find out in the relevant articles on our website.

This model is used since 1994. It is also the largest among all the others in the A320 family. This is the narrow-body branch of Airbus.

Narrow-body aircraft type- this is the one in which there is a single, narrow passage between the chairs. Flight range is up to 5600 km. Length - 44, 51 m. Height - 11, 76. The wingspan reaches 35.8 m.

Airbus A321 of Ural Airlines.

Improved wingtips improve aerodynamics and save on fuel, while only increasing the distances the aircraft can fly.

In general, with this model, a 1 km flight will cost less for a passenger, since it consumes less fuel and can accommodate more people.

A321 has 2 outlets each in the bow and tail, on both sides of the fuselage and 2 emergency hatches in the middle of each of its sides.

Cabin diagram of Airbus Industrie A321 Ural Airlines

He counts 38 rows, 2 and 3 seats in a row.

Interior layout.

Rows 1 to 10 There are 3 chairs on the left and right sides. The very first row is located directly opposite the kitchens and toilets. In this regard, his position is somewhat ambiguous.

The advantage here is that you can sit down with your legs in the most comfortable position for you. You also don’t have to worry that the back of the chair in front will be reclined on you.

The disadvantages are obvious - smells from the kitchen, all kinds of sounds and queues to the toilets - all this will interfere and disturb. Also, tables are not allowed here.

2-9 rows convenient due to its proximity to the kitchen. If you sit here, you will be served before everyone else.

10th row is located directly in front of the emergency exits, so the obvious drawback here is that the backrests do not recline or do not recline all the way. They are made in such a way as not to block the passage.

11th row, as can be seen from the diagram, has only 2 chairs on each side. It’s comfortable to sit here if you’re traveling in a pair so that the third passenger doesn’t bother you. In addition, you can sit quietly in any position convenient for you.

However, it also has a number of significant disadvantages:

  • It’s colder here than in other places;
  • fixed tables in armrests;
  • lack of a porthole;
  • You cannot place any things near the chairs;
  • categories of passengers such as families with small children or animals, pensioners and disabled people are not allowed to choose these seats for obvious reasons.

Very comfortable seats A and F in row 12 due to the fact that there are no seats in front, and accordingly you can calmly put your feet up. Also, there are portholes.

Seating layout.

From 13 to 24 row There are quite standard places.

25th row has approximately the same set of characteristics as the 10th.

26th row will again be suitable for those who like to stretch their legs. Plus, there is no row in front, which means no one will bother you.

But don't choose seats A and F as they may be in a different position than the others. One armrest may not be enough. It's cool here because they're close to the emergency exits.

From 27 to 36 row There are regular seats that are suitable for all categories of passengers.

Seats in rows 37 and 38 the most uncomfortable ones in such a cabin, since the toilets are located behind them. Plus, the backs of the seats rest against the wall of the toilet, which means you will have to navigate the flight without changing position.

It can be too stuffy and very cold here.. This may be due to poor air conditioning.

If there are no other options, then at least choose seats F or E, since they are not at the aisle. But no need to consider place D- it is the furthest one towards the passage, which means there can be no talk of a calm flight.

How to choose a seat in the cabin

It is better to choose a seat on a Ural Airlines plane in advance by familiarizing yourself with the seat layout and following the simple recommendations below:

  • do not sit by the window or in rows limited by the wall of the toilet or kitchen if you suffer from claustrophobia or acrophobia;
  • if you feel unwell during the flight, sit in the seats closest to the toilet;
  • if your flight has a transfer, then try to choose a seat closer to the exit in advance;
  • The company has an additional service - you can book the desired seat on the plane in advance by paying an additional amount;
  • At registration, you can specify your desired seat in advance.

Even if you find a seat that is not very comfortable, if there are free seats, you can change it.
