Byala, Bulgaria - location, population and climate. Once again about Bulgaria ... Rest in Bulgaria Byala resort

Offers

The city of Byala is a pleasant resort town, located almost in the middle between the cities of Varna and Burgas, in the central part of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The distance to Varna is about 55 km, the distance to the city of Burgas is about 75 km, and the nearest resort located next to Byala is the city of Obzor, the distance to it is no more than 5 km. The famous resort of Kamchia is located 30 km from Byala.
The town of Byala is the administrative center of the Byala community in the Varna region. The relief of the Byala community is hilly, rich in greenery with beautiful panoramas. The community includes six settlements - with. Dulino, p. Goritsa, s. Popovich, p. Samotino, the village of Gospodinovo and the town of Byala.
From the historical facts concerning the resort town of Byala, one can distinguish, first of all, one of the unique facts such as - according to European scientists, traces of a large-scale cataclysm that destroyed the era of dinosaurs were discovered here. The first settlement on the territory of Byala appeared in the fourth century BC on the St. Atanas metro station, at that time it was called Aspros. In 1731, Byala was mentioned in the Ottoman register under the name Ak-Dere, and in 1984, Bala received the status of a city by decree of the Council of Ministers.
In 1892, in the northwestern part of the city of Byala, a marble capital was discovered, which is part of the Roman fortress.
From the modern life of the city, we can say - a small, neat and calm city with the necessary infrastructure suitable for permanent residence and for comfortable rest. The city has private villas and houses, small apartment buildings and residential complexes, where tourists live in the summer.
The town's beach is one of the cleanest on the Bulgarian coast and is about 3 km long, about 80 meters wide and never crowded. Vineyards are located near the city, and the city itself has a winery and a tasting room. Not far from the city is located the area "White River" - one of the wild and untouched corners on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
The city has excellent transport links with Varna and Burgas, and the location of the city between these two cities makes it easier to get to the city from other countries - you don’t need to be tied to one airport, but there is a choice, you can fly to Varna or Burgas and get there by taxi or bus to the town of Byala.
The city of Byala is a favorite place for many Russians, some of them choose it as a permanent residence, and some buy real estate here - apartments and houses for summer holidays.

The resort town of Byala is not so well known to our tourists, since its tourist activity began to develop relatively recently. It is located about five to six kilometers from the more famous resort in Bulgaria - Obzor. I want to note that, despite the close proximity of these resorts from each other, the prices for accommodation in hotels are slightly different. In Byala, you will pay less for staying in a hotel similar to the one in Obzor. Of course, if you compare these two resorts, then I must say that they differ in their activity. The overview is more hyped, and is more suitable for young people who are attracted to outdoor activities with parties, discos and nightlife. In this regard, Byala is a rather calm vacation spot, for which it is mostly chosen by people of mature age and couples with children.

This is not to say that there is absolutely nothing to do here. Much depends on where you stay, because there are hotels where you won't be bored. There is a jeep safari track near the resort. Its organizers offer a rather interesting and exciting program. In addition, there are excellent conditions for windsurfing and in the summer they even hold competitions in this water sport. The city has quite good cafes and restaurants that offer dishes of seafood and national Bulgarian cuisine. And the city is also known for its winemaking and excellent Dimyat wine is produced here. HOLIDAY REPORTS:

June holiday experience

June is a great month for a holiday in the resort of Byala. The climate here is similar to the Mediterranean without sudden changes in temperature. Many sunny, windless days. From the sheer cliffs, a shadow falls on the beach, under which it is good to sunbathe.

Family holiday

Good place for family vacation. For children, there are areas right on the beach, for parents there is a cafe right there. Lots of marine activities for the whole family.

Where is the best place to stay?

We lived in a mini-hotel Valmar, we can say that this is a large cottage with rooms. The room price includes: double bed, amenities, TV, bedside tables. Meals are breakfast only. The cost of a room for a day is from 1400 rubles. In the yard there is a small swimming pool and a beautiful garden. If needed, a refrigerator and a safe can be brought to the room.

What to do at the resort?

Various types of marine entertainment are developed on Byala. We occupied ourselves with aquaplaning, water skiing. For children and adults in the center of the beach there are water slides. The resort has a dinosaur museum, where you can also see all the layers of the earth's crust from the time of the dinosaurs. Around the resort there is a track for a safari jeep; lovers of extreme sports and hunting will like entertainment. In general, you can just walk on Byala and admire the white limestone sheer cliffs, golden sand and relict trees that a person has never laid hands on for hours. Walking around the city you can find many buildings in the style of Russian Orthodox architecture, there is also a dilapidated knowledge of the time of the invasion of the Turks.

The resort of Byala is the birthplace of the famous Bulgarian wine - Dimyat. We went on an excursion to the wine cellars in a small group (12 people) in a minibus. The tour is no more than two hours. It includes historical information, tasting, buying wines (for those who wish). The cost is 400 rubles per person. This tour is offered by many private traders, in the private sector there are announcements, literally, on every house. Another of our excursions is a trip to the city of Varna. Here we had a cultural program, which included a visit to: the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Roman baths, the seaside park, the Archaeological Museum, the Aquarium. The tour was intense, we did not notice how the day flew by and we had to return to Byala. And we also had two hours of free time for shopping in the center of Varna. In general, you need to go to Varna on a separate trip, there are so many interesting things.

The beaches in Byala are very clean. Every morning the cleaner cleans the shore from debris and algae. The main attraction of the beach is the slides, where you can have a good time with children.

Where can you eat?

Byala is a small town, but there are cafes and restaurants at every turn. For lovers of seafood, I recommend the restaurant "Chaika", it is located in the port. Another interesting place with delicious cuisine is the Vodenitsata snack bar, where they serve a traditional Bulgarian dish, liver and onions, which is very tasty. You can also try Bulgarian fast food for fun, but I will say it is not much different from ours.

About the quality of food and service

From visiting restaurants there were positive impressions. Russian-speaking waiters, live music. The food is all delicious, many of the dishes are reminiscent of home cooking. The establishments themselves are interestingly decorated, the menu is in Russian.

How much does it cost to eat? About food prices.

Salads in restaurants start from 90 rubles (2 lev), an average salad, for example, Caesar with seafood - 200 rubles. The range of prices for second courses is from 300 to 1500 rubles, depending on the content. Barbecue - 300 rubles, grilled fish - 300-500 rubles, king prawns - 750 rubles, the most expensive thing we saw was a plate of seafood (lobster, shrimp, crab, different types of fish) - about 1800 rubles. Drinks from 50 rubles. Fast food about 300 rubles per person.

Reviews about the resort Byala

Last summer we rested in Bulgaria, stopped in Byala. The impressions were very positive, we rested there for a month, of course we missed the house, but we didn’t want to leave. The beach is good, sand, gentle entrance to the water, just for the kids, the stairs to the beach are really steep, but you get used to it, you don’t notice it at 5-6. I must say that the season in the village - Byala, ends on September 1st, restaurants, shops are closed, and by mid-September even the electricity in the resort area is turned off, you walk down the street and only the moon illuminates the path

Car rental in Bulgaria

Byala is a small Black Sea town on the border of the Varna and Burgas regions: 55 km from Varna, 75 km from Burgas, with a population of 2500 inhabitants. This is a very calm, green and beautiful place, which is a mixture of a traditional small Bulgarian village and a seaside resort. Byala attracts with its sandy beaches, clear sea and cleanest forest air, as the resort is surrounded by dense forest, and the resort is protected from the winds by the Stara Planina ridge descending to the sea, as well as a calm atmosphere.

The entire coast of this region is rocky shores with small bays, which limits the beach strip on one side, and on the other hand makes this place more picturesque. Most of the beaches are located east, north and southeast, which allows you to best enjoy the sun.

The resort owes its name "Byala" to the white rocks that frame the city and are a geological "exhibit" by which it is possible to trace the periods of development of the earth's crust for several thousand years.

Entry into the sea is quite gentle, about 10 meters from the shore the depth does not reach more than 70 cm, and then gradually becomes deeper - up to 2-2.5 meters at a distance of 200 meters from the shore. Rescue services work on the beaches, and the municipal service monitors the cleanliness of the beach.

The nearest resorts to Byala are: Obzor (5 km), Irakli campsite (20 km to the south), and between Byala and Obzor there are campsites "Moon", "Sun" and "Prostor".

The resort has 4 * and 3 * hotels, recreation centers, and apartment complexes that offer accommodation and good service for relatively little money. Since the resort is small, the number of hotel complexes does not exceed 15, which allows maintaining a calm, cozy atmosphere in the resort.

There are no huge crowds of tourists, children's camps, a large number of clubs and discos. But there are all conditions for recreation, walking, equestrian sports, water sports. Not far from the resort there is a jeep safari route with an entertainment program.

On the coast there is a small seaport for yachts and small boats, there are opportunities for sailing and yachting, there is a yacht school. Fans of fishing and spearfishing will not be bored in Byala. In the rocks you can hunt with an underwater gun, and in the open sea you can fish with various gear. The river flowing near Byala abounds with fish.
In the forests, if you have a license, you can hunt various animals in hunting farms.

The first mention of a settlement in this area dates back to the 6th century BC. - Cape St. Atanas.
In ancient times, this city belonged to the Hellenic colony of Aspros. Then this place, like other regions of the Balkans, was owned by the Ottoman Turks for a long time. Byala acquired city status in 1984.

In Byala there is an ethnographic complex, which houses traditional Bulgarian exhibits. Rural tourism lovers will be able to get in touch with the national life and customs of the inhabitants of the authentic village houses of Byala. Not far from Byala, you can see the remains of ancient fortresses.

This region has long been known for its viticulture traditions. An exceptionally aromatic variety of Dimyat wine is produced here, which can be purchased in shops, ordered in restaurants or tasted in a special tasting room in the center of the town.
Also in the resort there are enough shops with basic products and there is a market with fresh vegetables and fruits.

Byala, like most resorts in Bulgaria, is considered a place that naturally heals respiratory diseases, asthma, and improves the condition of allergy sufferers. the wind in Byala is predominantly marine, and the air has a very low content of pollen and other allergens. There has never been a single industrial production in the region.

Byala is developing rapidly, new apartment complexes and villas are constantly being built, and perhaps in a few years it will be a very lively, noisy resort with developed infrastructure, but this will not happen today. Therefore, those who want to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature - the resort of Byala is waiting all summer!
