By car

The distance between Brussels and Amsterdam is about 200 km; you can cover it by car in about two and a half hours. I think this is a great option for traveling with a large group! The roads are good, and the best part is that there are no toll highways or toll tunnels along the way. There are several gas stations outside Brussels; the price of gasoline varies from 1.50-1.65 euros per liter. You can find roadside cafes at the entrance to the city.
