My rating of the best beaches in the world 2017
In four years, my top of the best beaches has changed a lot.
If in the previous article I loved the Caribbean region - the main number of favorite beaches was there, now the Caribbean closes the list.
Now, going to rest on the sea, I in addition to the budget of the trip, I also evaluate the hardships of the road: flight duration, airline service, ease of movement and transfers on the spot.
The Caribbean is not an option, and I wrote about this when I returned from another trip from Central America:.
However, the criterion for evaluating the beach for me is the same and I quote myself:
What is the best beach in the world for me
- clean, clear and fairly calm water;
- convenient entry into the water - in order to swim I do not have to walk 100 meters knee-deep;
- the cleanliness of the beach
The best option: coral white sand, which does not heat up in the sun like a frying pan
- a minimum of people on the beach.
If sausages are launched on a parachute on the beach, jet skis are rattling - this beach is going to suck;
- maximum wildlife: I like to have something other than seal lying next to the beach, because I can’t lie on the beach for more than 5 minutes.
The easiest and most affordable vacation for me at sea is this.

The most affordable and popular type of summer holiday is the beach. And, if it is not possible to go somewhere to the sea, it is quite possible to find a normal beach somewhere nearby, rest on a river beach is in some ways even better than a sea beach. But a good beach must meet two conditions: the territory must be equipped for recreation, and the reservoir is recognized as suitable for swimming. What beaches of the Moscow region are suitable for these requirements?
Beaches near Moscow near the Istra reservoir

Free entrance from the village. The place is not bad, but devoid of at least some amenities. But the water is beautiful and clear. The beach is sandy, there is a field for mini-football and a volleyball court. The base is guarded, but no one is responsible for things. You can even drive the car right up to the shore. In the village shop there are chips, soft drinks and beer, the rest is just to take with you.
Wild place, no amenities, admission is free. You can admire Pugacheva's dacha about a hundred meters from the beach. The shore is sand, sometimes overgrown with reeds and sedge. On the shore, garbage and fire pits from previous vacationers. It is best to go with a tent and stop a little further in the woods. You need to bring food with you, beer can be bought on the spot. Fishing is prohibited.
There are two routes to get to both places:
1. Electric train from the Leningradsky railway station to the Kryukovo station. From there by bus number 23 to one of these villages.
2. Metro "Voikovskaya", bus number 440 to Solnechnogorsk, then bus number 27 and the same villages.
Beach "Gorki"
On the Canal Bay Moscow. Free admission, no cars allowed, but no parking in front of the beach. Very clean water, sandy beach, high green grass all around, tall trees. Good for children - both the bottom and the beach without splinters and dirt. The place is cozy and quiet. But it's too far to walk. Civilization is represented by a couple of locker rooms, bent mushrooms and a football field. There is no toilet, but there is a boat station with catamarans and boats.
Directions:
From the Savelovsky railway station by train to the Khlebnikovo station, then on foot, ask the locals how to get to the automobile bridge, after the bridge go about a kilometer.
By car - Dmitrovskoye highway in front of the bridge across the canal, the sign "Admiral Yacht Club" to the right and after four kilometers you will get to Gorki.
Beaches on Lake Senezh
Directions:
1. From the Leningradsky railway station by rail to the Podsolnechnaya station.
2. Bus number 440 from Voykovskaya metro station to Solnechnogors Beaches near Moscow, further from bus number 25, but it rarely runs, so there is always a huge queue, you can also walk.
3. By car along the Leningrad highway to Solnechnogorsk, you need to turn right in the city center following the sign "Timonovo".
Beach - "Trinity"
The beach is clean, the bottom of the river is sandy, a children's area with slides for swimming. Free toilet, umbrellas, changing rooms. Near rescue and medical points. There is a mini zoo with ducks, raccoons and a fox. If you wish, you can learn to ride a camel or a horse. In addition, basketball, volleyball, rental of water skis, catamarans, kayaks. There are three cafes and a grocery store on the beach.
It is quite possible to spend a few days in the recreation area - there is a hotel. And even cheaper if you stay on the ship "Bagration": "luxury" - 1000 rubles, a regular room - 700. Entrance, car entry and parking are free. Good asphalt road, parking far from the reservoir.
How to get there.
This is one of the favorite places for those who prefer active recreation. The beach is located on the Pirogovsky reservoir, the infrastructure is well developed here, and therefore there are always a lot of residents of the capital and guests of the city on the beach in good weather. The beach is equipped with special picnic areas with barbecues and tables for relaxing. Gazebos have also been built, where vacationers spend time in the company of family and friends. In addition, guests of the beach are offered a wide range of different entertainments: catamarans, boating, several sports grounds, where adults and children play sports with pleasure. In the hot time of the day, many go closer to the forest, to the shady trees.
You can get to the beach by car, there is parking nearby, as well as by public transport. Regular buses and fixed-route taxis run from the Medvedkovo metro station (No. 438 and 419). The stop is called the village of Sorokino, then you can walk or take a boat ride, which departs from the Northern Pier. Hiking enthusiasts should not be afraid to get lost, there are signs along the way to the beach.
Not only guests of the recreation center have a rest on this beach, but also people who just like to spend time near the water. This is a sandy beach with islands of grass, you can choose a convenient place depending on your preferences. There are special gazebos for relaxation, tables are equipped for those who like to have a picnic in nature. This place is very popular with outdoor enthusiasts who prefer to play sports on the beach. Entire teams of athletes gather here and arrange competitions. Couples with small children like to come here, for whom a special safe area with shallow water is equipped.
It is more convenient to get to the Khlebnikovo recreation center by public transport. Buses No. 459 and 17 run from the Altufievo metro station, as well as a fixed-route taxi that will take you directly to the gates of the recreation center.
City Krasnogorsk beach
This beach is located in the town of Krasnogorsk, near the dam number 4, on the Sinichka River, which is famous for its warm and clear water. Like many other beaches of the Moscow region, it has recently undergone reconstruction, it has become more convenient, clean and comfortable. Now there are special places for recreation. The place is quite popular among locals and visitors, so in good weather it is always crowded. This place is great for active youth and families with children. There is always something to entertain yourself here. In addition to swimming, you can ride a boat or arrange a sports competition.
You can get to the place by train, then walk a little or take a minibus No. 556.
This is a fairly popular recreation area with excellent infrastructure, so there are always a lot of vacationers here in good weather. Entrance to the beach is paid, and it is divided into a VIP zone and a territory with a more democratic holiday. Entrance prices are low, so every vacationer can afford to have a good time in a comfortable environment. This beach is very reminiscent of the sea beaches of expensive foreign hotels; comfortable changing cabins, shower rooms and toilets are equipped here. Here you can go in for sports, special grounds have been built for this, where you can rent all the necessary equipment and gear. For lovers of water activities, catamaran and boat rides are offered. Many couples with children rest here. A special recreation area and a place for swimming with shallow water are equipped for the little guests of the beach. In addition, various concerts and discos with foam parties are often held here on weekend evenings.
You can get to the beach by bus number 127 or by taxi number 157 to the final stop. Buses depart from Molodezhnaya metro station. For those who are going to come to the beach by car, you need to go to the Volokolamsk highway and move through Myakinino.
City beach in Khimki
The city has a famous park of culture and recreation, where locals and guests spend their free time. The park has an excellent beach, which is very popular among adults and children. It is located on the Moscow Canal, and is a favorite vacation spot in the summer. The beach is well equipped, there are all conditions for a comfortable stay. Companies of young people and couples rest here, everyone finds entertainment to their liking. Sports fans often organize volleyball competitions here. On the beach there are showers and equipped places for changing clothes. During the intense heat, many go to the forest zone, where the trees will perfectly save from the bright sun.
You can get to the park with the beach by train to Khimki, then take a walk. If you plan to come to the beach by car, it is important not to miss the turn onto Vladimir Mayakovsky Street.
Quarry in Lytkarino
This beach is located on the shore of a picturesque lake with clear water, so there are always a lot of tourists here. The lake was formed naturally on the site of a sand pit, so the water here is especially clean and transparent. It is safe to relax here with small children, so many people come to the beach who prefer to relax with their families. The beach area is divided into two parts, paid and free. For those who like to relax on the lake in a comfortable environment, a paid area is preferable, which is equipped with everything necessary for a beach holiday. There are changing cabins and showers, toilets and sports grounds. The free zone is more suitable for people who like a more democratic vacation in untouched nature. The beach is very popular, so it is often crowded here.
You can get to the Quarry from the Kuzminki metro station by bus No. 538 or from the Vykhino metro station by bus No. 393 to the stop, which has the same name as the Quarry. For those who prefer to get to the beach by car, you need to go to Novoryazanskoe highway, drive to Tokarevo, then turn onto Lytkarinskoe highway.
Another popular beach of the residents
Moscow and Moscow region. It is located in a picturesque area with beautiful scenery. The territory of the beach has been landscaped, sports grounds have been built here, where vacationers can play football and volleyball. On the beach there are showers and changing places, there are several cafes where you can have a bite to eat and buy soft drinks. There is also a rental of catamarans and boats for those who like to relax on the water. You can rent a sun lounger and parasol. All conditions for comfortable rest are created here.
You can get to the beach by bus or by fixed-route taxi No. 438, from the Medvedkovo metro station. By car, you need to get to the Ostashkovskoye highway, drive 12 kilometers, then follow the signs.
The beach-swimming season has started in the capital, and it's official. More than a hundred well-maintained areas near the water have opened throughout the city, but Rospotrebnazdor recommends swimming in only eight of them. Only in these places the service regularly monitors the quality of water and the sanitary and epidemiological situation. Moreover, departmental rescue stations and first-aid posts are constantly working only here, and the beaches themselves are equipped with a safe and convenient descent into the water, have changing rooms, showers and toilets. So where to look for a resort in the capital? Let's talk in detail.
Beach "Levoberezhny"

Important: swimming on the beach is temporarily suspended
In the warm season, Levoberezhny attracts not only the inhabitants of the district of the same name, but also, perhaps, all Muscovites from the northern part of the city. No wonder: this place has always been popular due to the fine sand, grassy lawns, a field for sports games and a large children's town. After the improvement, the beach acquired additional infrastructure: wooden benches under a canopy, ping-pong tables, bike parking, new playgrounds with all kinds of climbing frames, bridges and swings. Sun loungers have appeared near the shore, where you can comfortably sit and, while sunbathing, look at the water and the swimmers.
And by the way, about swimming. The beach is located on the shore of a small bay, extending from the Canal to them. Moscow. You can get to the water directly from the beach, or you can use special slopes from wooden decks. There is a first-aid post on the territory, and lifeguards are on duty during the daytime.
Beach "Serebryany Bor - 2"

Serebryany Bor is a very picturesque place in itself (remember that it has the status of a specially protected natural area, read also:). That is why its beaches are so valuable: they are especially monitored for their cleanliness and well-being. The shore here is mostly covered with grass, but there is a sandy strip near the water itself. The swimming area is fenced, and here it is of paramount importance, because there is a pier for boats, yachts and boats very close by.
As for landscaping, there are locker rooms, showers, toilets, sunbeds for rent at the service of visitors. There are regular entertainment programs for children. Next door is the Manor-Park complex with a restaurant and its own coastal area with more comfortable sun loungers and gazebos. There is also a car park nearby, but in order to get to it, you need to have a restaurant or yacht club visitor's pass. But even in this case, as the townspeople note, there may not be empty seats. It is much more convenient to get by public transport to the stop "Coast of the Moscow River" - from here the beach is within easy reach.
Beach "Serebryany Bor - 3"

The third beach of Serebryany Bor is much larger than the second. And much more popular: visitors note that on a day off, you can hardly find a free place here. For the same reasons, it is worth thinking about the road in advance - parking a car, despite the presence of a parking lot, is problematic, but there is a bus stop in the immediate vicinity of the beach.
Beach number 3 is cheerful and noisy, surrounded on both sides by recreation areas in which music is always played. From other entertainment: cafes, sports grounds, gazebos, playgrounds for children, a volleyball field and even a tennis court (for a fee). You can sunbathe both on the sand near the shore and on the soft grass. The swimming area is fenced with buoys, and caution really does not hurt here: boats and jet skis cut through the line with might and main (read also: “25 places in Moscow where you can ride boats and catamarans”).

The Stroginsky backwater is sometimes jokingly called the "sea" - it is so huge (more than a kilometer long and almost two kilometers wide). It is located not so far from Serebryany Bor, but it is no less popular. Especially after the landscaping of 2017-2018, when the coastal area, which has always been a public beach, was equipped with wooden decks, benches and sun loungers. The paths, by the way, rise a little above the ground - this made it possible to preserve the natural landscape of the park and, of course, the sandy beach.
The bay was created artificially in the 30s and has gained a reputation as one of the most environmentally friendly in the city. However, it was not always possible to officially swim here. Now, at the service of vacationers - not only playgrounds, cafes and children's towns, but also a neat beach with pleasant water. In summer, they also like to ride jet skis and go in for sailing. Dare to try?
Recreation area "Troparevo"

The beach near the Troparevsky pond is not large, but pleasant and well-maintained. The sandy area rarely can accommodate everyone, and therefore many have to sit on the grass (for convenience, there are sun loungers here, but one must think that they are rarely empty). The reservoir is fed from springs, so the water is most often clear, but cold. Nevertheless, this rarely stops Muscovites: both adults and children bathe (they usually arrange a "paddling pool" for them). And those who are afraid prefer to take a boat or a catamaran - and just float by!
In general, everything is in order with entertainment in this recreation area: the pond is located in the center of the Tyoply Stan landscape reserve, in which there are many children's and sports grounds, quests and even events are held on the summer stage (it can be seen from the north side of the pond).
Recreation area "Meshcherskoye"

The Meshchersky pond in the natural park of the same name is artificial and ancient (it began to be marked on maps as early as the 18th century). A picturesque corner attracts nature lovers, and a beautiful beach attracts everyone tired of the sun. After the improvement, many wooden structures have grown on the sandy shore. There are changing rooms, and benches under an umbrella, and sun loungers, and just wooden flooring. Everything is done in the same style, which, of course, is also pleasing to the eye.
There are playgrounds for children in Meshchersky. The only downside is that it's hard to park. Visitors are strongly advised to use public transport - otherwise do not separate. For example, it takes only 15 minutes to walk from the Skolkovo platform to the pond.
Lake Black

Black Lake really has a dark color - all because of the peat bottom (read also:). But you should not be afraid: the water here is considered very clean, and the reservoir itself is one of the most beautiful in Moscow. It is not surprising that the local beach has always attracted the residents of Zelenograd like a magnet - even when it could not boast of good infrastructure. Now the territory has a much more comfortable look: wooden deck chairs and colorful playgrounds have appeared. You can play beach games, relax on benches in the shade of trees, go in for sports in the workout area and, of course, swim (for children there is a separate "paddling pool").

Children's towns, workout zones, volleyball courts and a picturesque walking area - all this is famous for School Lake in the Silino settlement. The shore near the water is grassy, but there is golden sand in the beach area. There are also stationary parasols from the sun. The descent into the water is soft and safe, so children can also swim with adults. But for the little ones, a small “paddling pool” is still equipped - for the sake of the parents' peace of mind. There is a car park in the immediate vicinity of the beach, but its capacity leaves much to be desired. As an alternative - a bicycle: in the recreation area, along the coast, comfortable bike paths have just been laid out.
