Supsekh how to get there. Supsekh is a great place for extreme lovers and lovers of quiet rest

The unique village of Supsekh is located just two kilometers from Anapa. It cannot be called a traditional resort because of the unusual location of the village. It is located at the very top of the mountain called Lysaya. It seems that the sea is noisy very close, but in fact, to get to it, you have to overcome several hundred steps.

Getting to the village is easy. It is located on a busy highway called "resort". If desired, you can walk to Anapa. The climate in the village is steppe, moderate continental. It is hot in summer and warm in winter and no snow. In the middle of summer, the water warms up to 25 0 С, and the swimming season lasts until the end of October.

There is no traditional well-equipped beach in Supsekh, so fans of secluded relaxation choose the rest here, who can sacrifice comfort for the sake of beautiful nature and silence. The beaches of Anapa or Sukko are very close from the village, you can get there by car or minibus at any time.

Beach in Supsekh

Not so long ago, about Supsekh, one could say that there is no beach holiday in the village, and tourists who stayed here were forced to travel to Anapa or Sukko every day. If we talk about Anapa, the sea in the city is very shallow and it is problematic for an adult to swim in it.

Now the situation with beach holidays in Supsekh has changed. A staircase leading to the sea was built in the "high" village. The beach is located under a cliff, and it will appeal to fans of outdoor activities. You can go to the sea along the Vishnevaya and Design streets. A metal staircase with 800 steps leads down. You can rest on the way. There are observation platforms on the stairs where you can sit and admire the seascape. Local residents, with the advent of the descent to the sea, began to actively advertise a beach holiday in the village, claiming that Alla Pugacheva herself had acquired a dacha in Supsekh and the stairs to the sea were built on her initiative.

By the way, if you look at the stairs from above, then in silhouette it will resemble a reduced copy of the Great Wall of China. Going down, tourists will be rewarded with the cleanest sea in the Anapa region. Already from the mountain, the color of the water amazes the imagination - a transparent blue sea with an emerald hue.

There is no infrastructure on the beach. To get to the store, you have to go up the stairs, and then go down again, so you need to take everything you need with you right away. It is not always possible to meet vacationers on the beach, the coast is always free here. The coast is covered with pebbles and stones, there are also stones in the water, so swimming and walking along the coast will be problematic without special shoes.

The beach of the village attracts not only sunbathers. Divers and snorkelers often come here. The water on the coast is very clear and allows you to go underwater hunting or filming.

Where to sunbathe in Supsekh

Access to the sea in the village is difficult, it is impossible to climb the high stairs with a child or an elderly person, so tourists staying in Supsekh go to the nearest beaches. Anapa from the village is only 2 km away. This distance is easy to cover even on foot, and by minibus the journey takes only 15 minutes. Anapa is known to everyone as a children's resort. The beaches in the city are sandy and the sea is very shallow.

Many people prefer to go swimming and sunbathing on the beaches of the Utrish nature reserve. Compared to Anapa, it is much quieter and quieter here, but the infrastructure is less developed. The beaches in Utrish are distinguished by their cleanliness, and the medicinal aromas of juniper soar in the air.

WHERE TO STAY IN SUPSEKH

When we told friends that we were going to rest in Supsekh, they did not immediately understand us. They said that there was nothing to do there, there was no beach there. And we liked it. The beach is, of course, a moot point. It seems to exist, but not everyone dares to get to it. The village stands on a mountain, the sea is below, you can go down the only staircase of 850 steps (the locals called me different numbers, it seems, no one could count it). They are found by the daredevils who dared to go down the slope. Such attempts end sadly, at best you have to sit on the slope waiting for the rescuers. We ventured down the stairs to the beach. At first it seems that there is nothing complicated, the staircase is quite comfortable, the steps are with a good slope, it is easy to go, but the concrete steps are quickly replaced by metal ones. And if you look down, there will be a 100 meter cliff under your feet. Those who are afraid of heights have nothing to do here at all. You start to cling to the railing, and this is just a metal pipe. On the way, there are observation platforms with benches. Theoretically, you can sit on them and relax, but in practice the floor there is all rusted and it is scary to enter the sites. As a result, we went down for more than half an hour. But what we saw was worth all the suffering. The beach is deserted, the water is clear, azure color, the sea is warm, the beach is clean. Some pluses. I don't want to leave the beach. We stayed on the beach all day. Children chased fish in shallow water. Climbing the stairs is easier in terms of the fact that you no longer look down and do not notice the height, and physically going up is very difficult, especially after resting in the sun. It is important to bring enough water with you. As a result, if we walked downhill for a little more than half an hour, then we got up for an hour and a half (feel the difference)))

We went to the sea and stopped at Supsekh. The village is wonderful, we were very lucky with housing, but we did not dare to go to the local beach. The staircase seems insurmountable, and I'm also afraid of heights. Therefore, we went by car to Anapa. Everyone knows about Anapa: the sea is shallow, there is sand on the beach, there are a lot of people and noisy.

In the village of Su-Psekh, which is located near Anapa, there is an unusual 800-step staircase that leads to the beach. It so happened that the village is located on a mountain or steeper, which drops abruptly into the sea. There is a narrow coastal strip under the rocks, but it is not so easy to get to it. The only way is along these stairs.

The picturesque surroundings and unusual construction have turned the stairs in Su-Psekh into a real attraction. Many go to the beach of the village just to walk the steps. And there are many steps! 873 steps downward separate vacationers from the sea (according to other sources, less than 800). The difference in altitude during such a trip will be about 130 meters.

At the top, the staircase is somewhat reminiscent of a great Chinese wall, which stretches along the hills of a steep beach. Observation platforms and benches meet on the way.

All the way down takes about 10 minutes. The beach under the stairs is unequipped, there are no toilets and changing rooms. The beach is covered with large stones interspersed with small ones. The entrance to the sea is quite convenient, there are no sharp stones at the bottom. The deeper, the more large stones overgrown with algae come across.

Having seen in December last year a photo of a view from Mount Lysoi in Supsekh, I almost confused this place with Cape Fiolent in Crimea. Agree, there is a certain similarity? 🙂 When I found out that these unreal landscapes are on the southern outskirts of Anapa, I was very surprised! After all, I had been there so many times, and did not even suspect that there was such beauty nearby .. In general, there was no way back, I understood - I had to go 🙂

On a warm Saturday afternoon in January, we picked up the girls - Aigul and Lyuba, not very early left Krasnodar and went to the seashore. In general, I love the winter sea - few people, fresh air, much warmer than in many cities, and the color of the sea is just space.

We only had a rough idea of the starting point of the route, so we had to navigate on the spot.

Swallow's Nest observation deck

Having reached Anapa, we turned towards Supsekh. Further it was necessary to find the old cemetery, and there Lysaya Mountain was already visible. It was not difficult to find the path upstairs, having risen in 10 minutes we rushed to capture the immense sea expanses as soon as possible! A resort town is visible in the distance.

The place where we climbed is called "Swallow's Nest" (again associations with the Crimea ..)

Honestly, it was very difficult to tear yourself away from the landscapes and stop photographing everything around 🙂

But we did it, now we had to find the famous 800 steps staircase. We didn’t find its location right away - we went in the direction of the tempting huge white “balls”.

The height of Mount Lysoi is 319 meters, which is quite high in relation to the surrounding area. Great place for a TV tower and military radars, isn't it? 🙂 They say that in these "balls" there were and still are some of these antennas. And they also say that visiting them is not recommended ... And a passing cyclist did not advise to come close. But we are like this - with one eye.

After examining the balls, the search for the ladder continued. Returning to the swallow's nests, we decided to go downhill and look around there - from the height we could see wooden roofs, sports. area. They assumed that this is a camping - and they were not mistaken!

Camping "Paradise"

The camping has many gazebos with tables and benches, steep views, each with its own barbecue. There are showers and toilets. The territory from the sea side is fenced with a wooden fence. Almost all the gazebos are located in the shade of bushes, but the places for tents were a little embarrassing - it feels like they are invited to stay under the scorching sun. Well, it looks like this place isn't for wimps in summer 🙂

Translated into Russian, Su-Psekh means "Water-Water". I suspect that water is involved in these washed-out shores.

The main "attraction" of the camping was definitely a staircase of 400 steps!

Not 800, but not bad either - it was enough for us, for example.

We went down almost to the end - several steps were broken, most likely during a storm.

The camping gazebos are great for a picnic: we stopped at one of them, made coffee, unpacked our sandwiches, and satisfied, amid the sound of the waves, we re-energized. Lunch turned out not bad, especially for mid-January 🙂 If I were a Michelin restaurant critic, this open-air place would get 3 stars from me for the view alone! 😀

Back to the top of the mountain we were thrown by a man in a UAZ, and to the question "-What is the name of this camping?" the answer was received from him: “-What, is it not visible? Paradise!". We really liked the Rai Camping, and later we even found their contacts - we want to come back here in the warm season.

In the meantime, the 800 steps staircase was still not found, and we went on. We had only one option: the staircase is located closer to Anapa.

And so, after a 15-minute walk from the Swallow's Nest along the ridge along the sea, our goal was achieved! A long metal staircase with observation decks reminiscent of the decks of a ship ... Definitely worth visiting at least once. We did not go down to the beach - we must leave something for the next visit here.

I really didn’t want to leave, but the sun was already approaching the horizon. After admiring the views of the sunset Supsekh, we stopped in Anapa, fed the ducks and swans, and went home.

Until next time, wonderful Supsekh!

Location on the map:
  • Distance from Krasnodar: 188 km (3 hours by car)
  • Coordinates: start of route 44.849755, 37.345293
  • Timing of the event: 2-4 hours
  • How to get there: Head towards the village of Su-Psekh, then you need to find a cemetery (you can ask the locals for directions). We leave the car in the clearing near the cemetery and go upstairs (about 10 minutes).

The excellent town of Supsekh on the Black Sea coast is hiding at the top of Lysaya Gora. It can hardly be called a traditional resort. It does not have direct access to the sea, to plunge you will need to overcome a very difficult path 800 steps long. But on the other hand, the city has all the necessary infrastructure to ensure a good rest for tourists. You will learn more about Supsekh, its attractions, entertainment, prices, from this article.

Supsekh is a small town located just a couple of kilometers from the resort town. Rest here is suitable for non-standard individuals who are not looking for easy ways. The whole reason is that the city is located at the very top of Mount Lysaya, simply unsurpassed landscapes open up here, but in order to go to plunge into the sea, you need to overcome as many as 800 steps each time. You can also take a bus or order a taxi, drive a few kilometers from the village and find the most beautiful beaches. Be sure to take this fact into account before coming here with young children or, conversely, with elderly parents, and you yourself need to really assess your physical capabilities.

But on the other hand, a pebble beach and complete seclusion, without obsessive sellers of oriental sweets and other vacationers - this is just the dream of some city guests who come here specifically for isolation and tranquility. Here you can completely surrender to your thoughts and feelings.

The origin of the name of the village is also interesting. After all, it literally means water-water. The fact is that it consists of two parts "su" and "pseh". The first is from the Turkic language, and the second from the Circassian, and both mean the same thing. Linguists believe that the village received this name because of the many mountain ice springs located above Supsekh. In ancient times, the locals built a special system of ceramic pipes that directed water from the springs straight to their homes.

Getting to Supsekh is not as difficult as it seems at first glance. After all, 800 steps separate it from the sea, and not at all from civilization. Shuttle buses constantly pass through the city. However, since the city of Anapa is only 2 km away, you can also order a regular taxi. And some tourists even prefer to come to Anapa, and from it walk calmly 2 km to Supsekh. The easiest way to do this is along the "resort track".
It is worth noting that, as in most resort villages, taxi services are quite expensive here. Therefore, many tourists prefer to either rent a car for a couple of days, or even walk to the desired places. Renting a car can cost about 1000-1200 rubles. per day + deposit, which is quite acceptable compared to the prices of 400-500 rubles for a taxi ride.

Supsekh on the map:

Climate

Like most resort towns of the Black Sea basin, Supsekh is distinguished by excellent warm and stable weather.

The weather in the resort is very sunny, here, according to statistics, the sun shines for 280 days a year!

The climate in these lands is temperate continental. Summers are hot and winters are warm with little or no snow. In the summer months, the average air temperature is between +25 and +27 ° C. In the middle of the season, the water warms up to +25 degrees. The swimming season can be started around May and enjoyed until mid-autumn.

Accommodation and infrastructure

You most likely will not have problems with a settlement in Supsekh, since there are usually not very many tourists here. A hotel room will cost from 1000 rubles per day. For those who want to save a little, you can rent a room in the private sector, one place will cost from 250 rubles.

Among the most famous hotels and guest houses are the following:

  • Hotel Kraft, the average cost of living is about three thousand rubles;
  • Guest house "Viking" - the room will cost 1000 rubles;
  • Pension Isok with an average price of accommodation of 1200 rubles;
  • Hotel Log paradise, here the room will cost 1700 rubles;
  • Azalia Guest House;
  • Guest House Avdolia;
  • Guest House on Voskresenskaya 8;
  • Guest house Parental hearth.

From the local infrastructure, several popular establishments should be distinguished. The first is a barbecue house called "Uncle Firdus's" here you can order lunches, breakfasts and, of course, excellent barbecue. Lovers of sweets are advised to visit the "Romashka" confectionery. And for those who prefer to relax in the evenings in the bars, "Pivomania" and "Live Beer" are suitable. And for a company of vacationers, the Levada restaurant can arrange a magnificent and unforgettable banquet. There are no nightclubs here at all. For such entertainment, you should go to Anapa.

Beaches

As such, there are no beaches in Supsekh.

At least in the usual sense. Going down a long staircase from the mountain to the sea, you can see a small islet of a pebble beach. The beach is pretty clean. Many people prefer to stay in the town, but at the same time they go to the beach in Anapa or Sukko. Anapa beaches are long, sandy and deep. It is full of tourists and has a well-developed beach infrastructure. And off the coast of Sukko there is a small pebble beach, about 15 meters wide. Also, some tourists go to the town of Bolshoy Utrish, where there are excellent, very clean pebble beaches.

As already described above, there is a small strip of beach in Supsekh. Although it is a wild beach, it has absolutely no amenities, but it has very beautiful landscapes.

But this is a great place for those who want to retire, because people visit the local beach very rarely. The descent into the sea is rather gentle, but both large boulders and small sharp pebbles can come across underfoot. Therefore, we recommend that you only go into the water with your shoes on. There are various observation platforms on the stairs leading to the beach. They can make great photos.

sights

Bald Mountain is so named absolutely not by chance. Once upon a time, trees raged here, but over time they were gone, and now it is almost impossible to find shade on the mountain to take a break from the heat. But enterprising locals found a way out and planted a large number of fruit trees and vineyards. This decision made the town famous in the 19th century. After all, even then the wine produced here under the brand name "Riesling Su-Pseh" received prestigious awards at various exhibitions. It even won several international wine competitions. And the locals are very proud that once the Riesling Su-Pseh was served to the Queen of Great Britain herself.

While rows of vineyards approach the town from the seashore, huge orchards of fruit trees stretch out on the opposite side. Therefore, locals can always provide holidaymakers with excellent wine and ripe fruits.

Supsekh is very popular among paragliders and hang gliders, who have enough space for their activities here. This place is also ideal for horseback riding.

Also among the attractions can be identified the worship cross, which is the largest in the Kuban. It was erected as a monument to reconciliation between the peoples of the Caucasus. If you leave Anapa towards the village, you can immediately notice this monument, because it is located on a good elevation, and its height is 18.7 meters. It is simply impossible to visit Supsekh and not visit such a shrine.

To entertain tourists in Supsekh there are many different excursion programs. So vacationers are offered to visit the Batiskaf aquarium, which is located in the city of Anapa. Also, excursions in Anapa include a visit to the local water park, and the famous Utrush Dolphinarium. If you book an excursion to Sukko, then on the way there you can visit a unique park of ancient culture called Dumo.

Excursions to natural attractions will include a visit to the Lago-Naki plateau. When visiting Anapa, you can also get to the local festivals: windsurfing fans, the children's festival and the Kinoshock festival. Also here you can see the famous Rose Aley park, the city's wonderful sculptural compositions and the Flower Ship. And flower lovers will be interested in visiting the largest Rosary on the Black Sea coast called Orekhova Roshcha.

Also from Supsekh you can go on horseback riding along the local routes:

  • Horse ride to the cypress lake. This is a great excursion along the fabulous Sukko Valley. Here you can see the unique grove of the Swamp Cypress. Many unique and decorative trees sprout here, some of them sprout right in the water.
  • Horseback riding at sunset. It is a very exciting and beautiful horseback riding trip in the evening.

Shopping and souvenirs

The village has several good souvenir shops, spontaneous markets. Here you can buy all kinds of fruits, seafood and various types of wines. You can also buy various souvenirs and beautiful trinkets.

Security and communication

Supsekh is a calm resort village, an ideal place to relax from the bustle of the city. There is practically no need to worry about safety here. The only thing to remember is to be careful when descending the long stairs to the sea, because not all areas have special railings. The connection is excellent here. Cellular operators are catching almost anywhere in the village. Some cafes have free Wi-Fi.

Cafeterias and kitchens

There are not so many cafeterias or restaurants in Supsekh. Since the village is small, the cafe can be counted by the piece. They offer dishes of both familiar Russian cuisine and exotic for us Caucasian and Georgian dishes.
Here you can taste puffed cakes with cheese (khachapuri), vegetable appetizer - pkhali, kharcho soup and excellent kebabs. From Caucasian cuisine, you can try Adjarian khachapuri, fried trout, shrimp and pike perch, as well as other types of fish.

Supsekh is a great place for a secluded and detached from the rest of the world. Here you can have a good rest with the company and family. We recommend visiting this small corner of peace and tranquility on the Black Sea coast.

Video about the descent to the beach:

The beaches of Supsekh, or Su-Psekha, are a suburb of the Anapa neighborhoods - it is difficult to call not only equipped, but also accessible locations. In fact, these are three pieces of the edge of an ultra-small width, separating the named microdistrict from the steep to the west of Varvarovka and its "hotel" outskirts, Lesnaya Polyana. Mainly extreme "slopes" lead to the sea. Reviews positively describe only Bald Mountain and the "Paradise" car camping. They try not to mention the rest of the locations because of their inconvenience.

Beaches on the map of Supsekh

Here's how the beaches are located on the village map:

Beach under Bald Mountain

A descent equipped with wooden steps and fences leads here, lowering you from a comfortable resting place - the observation deck "Swallow's Nest", where a fashionable one is being built, and artists and photographers "catch" amazing angles.

Pavel Smirnov © Yandex.Photos

This is the beginning, and the strip ends with the same equipped path, starting at the Supsekhsky cemetery. We are talking about an area of huge pebbles and cobblestones, equal to 1300 m, it is 1.5 m wide. The angle of approach here is average.

From here there are passages to the houses-attractions of Designer Street - they can be called an architectural experiment of the city. Nearby are the Alexandria and Kraft hotels. The water is pretty clear. For her sake, it is worth overcoming as many as 1000 steps from the "Nest".

Under the relict pine park

Starting from the edge under the village churchyard, from where the shiny balls of the Soviet radar station are visible and where it is better to leave the car, this "beach" continues the steep coastal foot of Lysaya Gora, moving further south. It reaches the end, in fact, of the park (further the coast disappears altogether).

Like the rest of Supsekh's beaches, this one will only become accessible after a steep descent. It is better to produce it from the territory of the "scattered" in different directions of the "Paradise" campsite. The owners have built a wooden staircase, barbecue area and changing rooms. The location is elongated. To the south of the campsite, you will see a huge concrete cross. You can drive here along Kavkazskaya Street (there is also a parallel road under it).

abonent.net © Yandex.Photos

Here the descent will be already - you have to make friends with the "goat" trail. There is a "bald" intermediate terrace. The most beautiful place on the coast is its upper "floor". In addition to Pitsunda and Koch pine (oddly enough, but it should live only in the north), there is also a very fragrant juniper growing here. Its scent will cure your nasopharynx well.

The length of the recreation is 3200 m. The peculiarity of the large pebble surface, decorated with slippery boulders, is the presence in some places of the coast, at least 2 meters wide. The bottom abruptly goes to a great depth, as if continuing the steep sea. Photos of this Supsekh beach are verbose.

Under the observation deck of the residential complex "Anapolis" (Varvarovka)

This stretch of rocky coast is often named after the Varvarovka residential area. But this is wrong, since the aborigines of this village always choose the more comfortable arm of the Varvarovskaya Slit.

But the beach "Anapolis" - "Kurortnoye Selo", "starting" from the overview - is located just 300 meters from the mouth of the Shingari and is a less impressive sight in the photo. There is no infrastructure here, as well as garbage. In addition, the normal width of the pebbled surface (finally, as much as 10 m!) And the relatively clear water pleases. The length of the section is only 750 m, it ends with the mouth of the Shingar River - a parking lot near the elite club "Dolphin". At this point, the desired Riviera turns into. But before that, you will meet another autocamping with the same name.

andrey-fotto © Yandex.Photos

What else is interesting about Anapolis? Firstly, there are two observation platforms, the highest is at an altitude of 131 m above sea level. A dirt turn from the highway leads to them, here it bears the name of Kalinin Street - the one immediately behind Lesnaya Polyanka, opposite the passage to the Kavkaz winery. Secondly, a view of the ultra-modern high-rise buildings of the residential complex of the same name. Third, along the way, you will come across a recently built golden-domed Orthodox cathedral. Fourth, the entry into the sea is satisfactory (average slope).

Therefore, here you can frolic and. In a broad sense, the area descends between two mountains, on the upper terraces of which rare bird species nest. Many of them descend here, perching on huge boulders. And under the water you can see a lot of all kinds of fish, which sometimes even photographs make it possible to be convinced.

Are you interested? Photos of the beaches of the village of Supsekh you are already studying on our portal. It remains to wish you extra care on the winding "arteries" leading to the water. It is better to explore the beaches of this village in the same order in which we presented them to you. So you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with, which are overlooked - the Swallow's Nest, radar spheres, Poklonny Cross, "Paradise", pine park, "overviews" beyond Lesnaya Polyana and the futuristic colossus of the Anapolis residential complex. In conclusion, we offer a video clip about the beaches of Su-Psekh, enjoy your viewing!
