There are two international ones, the main one is located in the capital of the country. Its official name is Podgorica Airport (Aerodrom Podgorica).

The airport is located 11 km from the capital of Montenegro near the village of Golubovichi, from which came the second, unofficial name of the air harbor. It was founded in 1961 and over time, it ceased to cope with a large flow of people.

In 2006, a new terminal was built here, which has 8 exits for departure and 2 entrances for arriving passengers. Its area is 5500 sq. m, thanks to which it can now serve up to 1 million people a year.

Description of the air harbor

The new structure is entirely made of glass and aluminum using modern technologies such as indirect lighting. This is a unique architectural development of the latest generation. In 2007, Podgorica Airport in Montenegro was awarded the title of the best airfield by Airports Council International.

The terminal is divided into 2 zones:
