How to get to Beijing airport

In this post, I'll show you how to get to Beijing Airport from the city center or vice versa. Beijing Capital Intentional Airport is the main airport and one of the largest in terms of passenger traffic in the world. In fact, just a huge structure! Made in Chinese, on a grand scale!

It is very difficult to get lost, all the inscriptions are duplicated in English, and the logistics are thought out to the smallest detail. Nevertheless, when I first got to Terminal 3, I was a little confused by such a scale of the structure))

The airport consists of three terminals, the largest of which is the third and the last. It, in turn, also consists of three parts: 3C, 3D, 3E. Terminal 3C is used by local airlines, while terminals 3D and 3E are used for international flights. I flew to Novosibirsk from Terminal 3E.

General layout of Beijing airport

As you can see from the diagram, a free bus runs between the second and third terminals.

I also give a diagram of the third terminal of Beijing airport.

The airport lobby has everything you need: shops, cafes, exchange offices, banks, mobile phone shops, toilets, soft seats. On one of these seats (or rather three!) I spent the night, since the flight was early in the morning. There are also dedicated telephone charging stands in the waiting rooms.

Plane boarding process

First, you go to the check-in counter in terminal 3C, where they issue a boarding pass for the plane (a funny Chinese man at the counter tried to speak Russian, chatted a little!) Then go to passport control, where they check the name and surname in the passport and in the boarding pass. There is an internal train to get to Terminal 3E. You go in it, look at the surroundings. I have not been to Moscow airports (I will definitely fix it), but compared to the Novosibirsk airport, Peking is just space!

In terminal 3E, carry-on baggage and all of you are checked for prohibited items. Unfortunately, the Sichuan spicy giga-giga remained at the Beijing airport)) Next, you need to fill out a small departure card, where you indicate your first name and surname, passport number, flight number and go to the immigration counter with it. After passing through it, you are no longer legally in China, but not yet in Russia.

Then it remains only to go to the gate (gates), which is indicated in the boarding pass. In the waiting room in front of the gate, I found a device that issues a password for Wi-Fi. You slip in your passport, as shown there in the picture, and it will give you a password. So you can safely surf the Internet, or you can use and book accommodation in the next city, buy a plane ticket, and so on.

How to get to Beijing airport

1. The easiest way to get to Beijing Airport, in my opinion, is Metro

You can get to the Airport Line from lines 2, 10, 13 of the Beijing subway. The fare is 25 RMB one way. Travel time from the city to the airport is about 18-20 minutes. First, the train arrives at Terminal 3, and the final one is at Terminal 2. They run every 15 minutes. The first train to the airport is at 6.30, the last at 22.30. The time of the first train from the airport is 6.30, the last one is 23.05. That is, the only drawback is that it is impossible to take the metro for your flight at night.

2. Special express buses, which also run every 15 minutes from the railway stations, and cost 16 Y. But they go from the center to the airport for about an hour, and maybe longer if there are traffic jams.

3.Taxi. The trip will cost about 100 Y, you can catch a taxi anywhere in Beijing. Make sure the driver turns on the meter and the taxi fares are always written on the side window of the car.

You can pre-order a taxi to Beijing airport online using the service - if you are traveling with a company, it will be even more profitable.

I flew on a plane of one green airline to Novosibirsk :-), since there were no direct flights to Omsk, and they are more expensive. You can choose a flight that suits you and buy a plane ticket using the form below. Don't know how to use it?

The weather was sunny in the early morning, and a few passengers (only 30 people) stuck to the windows immediately after takeoff. And there was something to see:

We flew somewhere over Mongolia. Beautiful…

Overboard the mountain

“There are deserted places there,” I thought, drinking the orange juice brought by a pretty Siberian flight attendant.

Over the Mongolian mountains

Thus, the second trip to China ended for me, but for today that's all, stay with! Thanks!
