New Boeing 737-800 Sky Interior of UTair

So I have lived to the point where it is already possible to assess the progress taking place in the airlines. My very first review, written 2 years ago, described a flight on a UTair flight from Moscow to Krasnoyarsk (). And so, in February 2013, there was again a flight from Moscow to Krasnoyarsk and again by UTair. But now the line uses not a used Boeing-737-500, but a completely new Boeing-737-800, received directly from the stocks of the Seattle plant a year ago. Of particular interest is the fact that the aircraft is equipped with a new interior for the passenger compartment called "Sky Interior". To UTair's credit, the Russian airline became one of the first carriers to receive a liner in such a configuration.

Now let's talk about everything in order. UTair flights to Krasnoyarsk are operated from Terminal A, Moscow. The terminal is described in detail in mine. I will not repeat myself. Let me just say that UTair flights to Krasnoyarsk depart at night, from Moscow at 20:55, and arrive in Krasnoyarsk at 06:00. Earlier, by the way, the company had 2 flights a day. Since last year there is only one left, but now on the new Boeing-737-800.

Departure area for domestic flights of terminal A of Vnukovo airport:

Boarding the plane by boarding bridge.

There are 8 business class seats in the nose of the aircraft. Chairs with a claim to luxury, upholstered in golden leather.

Further, premium economy class (with increased seat pitch) and regular economy class. All armchairs are leather, burgundy.

It is not very clear why the carrier chose this particular color of seats in its new aircraft (gold and burgundy). I have never considered these colors to be UTair's trademarks.

When boarding, there is already a blanket for the passenger in each seat. Nice little thing. More than once there were situations in life when there were not enough blankets for all passengers.

In general, it is very pleasant to be in the salon. The paints are fresh and still smells new.

The toilet is also spotless.

Individual fans and lamps are unusual. Made in some kind of "nano-style".

The most visible part of the new interior is the luggage racks recessed into the ceiling, as opposed to the bulging shelves of the previous interior. This design solution clearly shows the style.

Visually, the luggage racks look less spacious than before. But when opened, they turned out to be very spacious. Therefore, I cannot say for sure whether the volume of shelves in the new interior has decreased or not.

The lighting system is nicely designed in the new Boeing interior. In different modes, the backlight can be white (bright light), pink (dim light), or cyan (night mode) colors. The light goes out smoothly, with a slow decay, like in a cinema hall.

UTair's passenger service format is no frills, standard for most Russian carriers:

In-flight magazine + newspaper, as well as food and refreshments.

The diet provides several options for hot: chicken or fish with rice, as well as sausages with pasta.

On the way back (from Krasnoyarsk to Moscow), the food is about the same:

Landing in Krasnoyarsk in 4 hours.

In the baggage claim hall in Yemelyanovo:

Return flight in 2 weeks. Departure from Krasnoyarsk at 07:25, arrival in Vnukovo at 08:30.

Check-in at the Krasnoyarsk airport:

Flight over the endless swamps of Western Siberia.

And after 5 hours morning arrival at Vnukovo. We drive past the passenger terminal A.

Exit through the boarding bridge.

In the center of the corridor there is a passage to the transfer hall. Passengers traveling further with a transfer to Vnukovo turn left. The rest - straight.
