Procedure at the airport before flying abroad.

Today I want to talk about what is the procedure at the airport before flying abroad, for example, to the Czech Republic.

So, you have already prepared for an independent travel, received a passport, received a Schengen visa, and bought plane tickets.

Our articles will help you:

And now you have already arrived at the airport of departure.

Attention! The airport of departure, as well as the airport terminal, is indicated on the ticket.

It's great, of course, if you have already passed online check-in in advance and you have printed boarding passes in your hands.

But, if you haven't registered in advance, it doesn't matter. The order of your actions will just change a little.

Procedure at the airport before departure

registration

First of all, you need to know that you must arrive at the airport no later than 1 hour before the departure of the plane. Better yet, in 2 or 3 hours (if you do not have electronic registration).

Since check-in for a flight usually ends 40 minutes before, and boarding a plane - 30 minutes before departure. And you need to go through several procedures before departure.

So, once at the airport (carefully look at your terminal), go to the electronic board of departure and arrival of aircraft.

Search the list for your flight (number and destination).

In front of your flight number, it will be written whether check-in has started and, if so, which check-in counters serve your flight. Listen carefully to speakerphone announcements. Everything is announced at the airport.

Please note that there are usually separate check-in counters for those passengers who have completed electronic check-in. There is a smaller queue. It says "Baggage - Drop off"

When registering, you must present your passport and boarding pass that you printed out during electronic check-in.

Also, at this step you check in your belongings. They are weighed, labeled with a barcode tag. A plate with the same barcode is pasted on your boarding pass (if anything, you can compare it when you receive your luggage, suddenly you will find yourself with the same suitcases).

Read baggage allowance on the ticket... For example, on Aeroflot flights, economy class - no more than 1 piece of weight no more than 23 kg is allowed.

They immediately weigh and measure (if necessary) carry-on baggage, the one that you take with you on the plane.

Passport and visa control

The next step in the procedure is passport control.

To do this, you need to go to the so-called "green corridor". Getting lost is quite difficult. Many passengers go in this direction.

At this stage, you will need your passport and boarding pass.

Please note that there are separate passport control counters for passengers with children, diplomats and vip persons.

Here you will be filmed.

Your documents will be carefully checked. There is a mark in the passport.

Everything, after passing through passport control, you leave the territory of Russia.

But not yet in the Czech Republic. ????

Pre-flight inspection.

Procedure: take off outerwear, belt, watches, bags.

All these things are put in special plastic basins and put on the belt along with hand luggage.

Your things one after another pass along the tape and are seen through with a special device. In the meantime, you pass through the frame, then raise your arms to the sides, and the airport employee feels you with his hands, and holds you along the body with some kind of device. So from both sides.

All, the inspection passed. Things can be picked up and dressed.
