Russian airlines rating on flight safety and other parameters

It is rarely published annually in international airline safety studies, but Hong Kong and the United States are increasingly among the leaders. In 2014, the German center JACDEC published its safety rating, in which the Russian company Transaero was in 17th place. This is an excellent indicator for a domestic company.

What is the situation this year?

As you know, quite recently a terrible tragedy occurred in Egypt, which claimed the lives of two hundred people. The airlines' credibility was severely undermined. The number of people who are afraid to fly is getting bigger and bigger. Because of this, one should know by various parameters.

Many major tour operators or airline ticket companies conduct their own research for their customers based on reviews and realities of flights. According to one of these companies, the rating looks like this:

1. The first place is taken by the Yamal airline. It has earned this position due to its affordable prices, high quality service and minimal flight waiting times.
2. The second place is taken by the newly minted Ifly. The main direction of the young company is charter flights to Sochi and other southern cities. Although she is a newcomer to the market, she has already managed to fall in love with the population.
3. The third position is occupied by KogalymAvia. This company can be found in different ratings, and everywhere it is in the lead.

The almighty Aeroflot is only in fifth position on this list. Many passengers are unhappy with overpriced prices, frequent and downright inconvenient flight schedules.

Transaero is behind Aeroflot. Although it is a very good and large company, its employees rarely inform passengers about flight delays or rescheduling, or they do it at the last moment. Conditions of cargo transportation are constantly changing.

Flight safety in Russia

1. "Transaero". If this company is recognized in the world as a reliable carrier, it means that we need to trust it.
2. Aeroflot. It is the largest carrier in Russia, and it is not surprising that the number of unforeseen situations per flight unit is minimal. Moreover, the company has existed on the market for more than a dozen years.
3. Closes the top three, flying on the most popular tourist routes.
4. In fourth place is the low-cost airline from Aeroflot - Pobeda. It is famous for the fact that the prices for flights around the country from the capital and to it are very low. Since there is very little on the market, so far no complaints have arisen. The main directions are the central part of Russia, the Urals and near Siberia.
5. S7 Airlines ranked 5th in the rating of the safest companies. This advantage has been achieved through the largest domestic traffic. There are also several regular flights to the CIS countries, Europe, East and Central Asia.

What do Russians fly on?

For the issue of safety, the factor of the age of the aircraft is important. Surprisingly, in our country there are cars with 25 and even 30 years of experience. Not only do they operate regular flights, but they are not going to retire either. The rating of Russian airlines by aircraft age will be interesting to read:

1. The oldest working copy is at the Center-Yug company. TU-134A-3 produced in 1976 still flies and makes regular flights.
2. Only a year younger than the TU-134A-3 produced in 1977 by the Turukhan company, which belongs to the UTair group. The base is located in Krasnoyarsk.
3. Another brother of the TU-134 operates business flights from the RusJet company. Its first flights date back to 1978.
4. The fleet of the Saratov Airlines company includes a Yak-42 produced in 1982.
5. The shift workers of the northern airlines are probably familiar with the TU-154M; it has been flying since 1987 under the guidance of the Gazpromavia pilots.
6. Transaero also has one outdated Boeing 737-400. He is over 25 years old.
7. And the last on the list is the 1991 Airbus A-320. This is the exact same plane, the same age as the one that crashed in Egypt this year. It is listed with the Ural Airlines. According to the company, the last flight was made in January 2015 on the route Hurghada - Yekaterinburg. After that, he was removed from flights.
