Sheremetyevo Terminal E (E)

In 2010, Sheremetyevo Airport received its first passengers in the most modern and comfortable passenger terminal E, which, along with terminals D and F and the Aeroexpress railway station, make up a single Southern terminal complex.

The new high-tech terminal E Sheremetyevo is designed to serve only international flights. The total area of the terminal reaches 76 thousand square meters. meters and provides a maximum capacity of 7 million passengers per year.

Terminal E is considered one of the most functional and convenient for passengers. 34 check-in counters, 44 passport control booths, 8 bridges and 9 boarding gates make it possible to serve about 1600 passengers per hour.

Walking galleries with convenient travelators allow you to move quickly and easily between Terminals D, E and F, while free, comfortable shuttles help passengers reach the remote terminals B and C.

Terminal E Sheremetyevo creates the most favorable conditions for air carriers and promotes the expansion of cooperation with the world's leading aviation alliances. The departure hall of Terminal E is located on the second floor of the air terminal, and the check-in counters for passengers and baggage are located in the back of the building in the immediate vicinity of the main entrance.

For all terminals D-E-F of the Southern complex, there is a single numbering of check-in counters - from 1 to 158. The countdown starts from left to right. In Terminal E, these are counters from 100 to 134. After receiving the boarding pass, the passenger needs to go back a little to enter the security checkpoint and go through the required customs control corridor.

Aeroflot's check-in area occupies counters 107 through 116. Separate sections are provided for passengers of different service classes. The economy class zone is fenced off with dark blue tensors, and the business class zone is fenced off with orange ones. Passengers who choose alternative check-in methods and have a boarding pass in hand can drop off their baggage at the Drop-Off counter.

Air Astana serves passengers on its flights at desks 117 to 123, Air France and KLM check-in desks 124 to 128. Passenger check-in of Aerosvit, Air Baltic, Estonian Air and Royal Air Maroc begins 2 hours before the scheduled flight departure. and is carried out on racks from 129 to 134.

Terminal E arrivals hall is located on the first level of the airport terminal. All passengers arriving at Terminal E of Sheremetyevo, after passing through passport control and receiving luggage, must go through the customs control zone.

However, the absence of a customs border between Russia and Kazakhstan does not provide for the passage of post-flight formalities by passengers arriving in the capital on Air Astana flights. A separate exit is provided for them, which allows them to bypass the customs inspection procedure.
