Spanish holidays. Malgrat de Mar - a sunny town by the sea

I really love Spain and everything connected with it. Best vacation for me - buy tickets and rush to the Costa Brava. I don’t like to stay in the same place twice, so I vacation in different towns. And to be honest, most resort towns are so similar to each other. My favorite place was Malgrat de Mar. I'll try to tell and show why. :)

For some reason, many people don't like the town. Moreover, everyone has their own complaints - some are bored, some, on the contrary, are very noisy, others don’t like the sea at all. I don’t understand such people - did you come to relax or look for shortcomings? :)

Yes, the sea is quite cool. I was on vacation at the beginning of July and didn’t even swim for a couple of days. It is also deep, an infection. :) And I don’t know how to swim at all. So what? I bought an inflatable mattress and rode the waves on it. And when it was cold, I took a bottle of sangria and sat on the shore a la such a thoughtful young lady.

I really like it local beaches. Although I read a bunch of reviews saying that it’s nearby Railway, what a nightmare. Yah. In general, she never interferes. The trains are quiet and there are underground passages. But the road to Barcelona goes along the coast, you drive and admire beautiful views and an hour of travel flies by completely unnoticed. The beaches are sandy, the sand is golden, but very hot. For some reason, there are almost no wooden paths here, so it is better to walk along the beach in flip-flops, otherwise you can burn your feet. Near the beaches there are good shops and markets where you can buy all sorts of small things and fresh berries. The coolest one is strawberry. It’s incredibly big here, dark red in color and very tasty. By the way, they say that local strawberries are the best in all of Spain. I think that's how it is. :)

Personally, I found some solid advantages in this resort: wonderful beaches; very nice home restaurants where people go for dinner local residents; incredibly beautiful old part of the city with narrow streets and medieval houses; a beautiful embankment along which I walked several kilometers back and forth every evening.

There are no particularly interesting sights in Malgrat de Mar, as well as shopping. The shops already close at 10 pm, and they sell all sorts of rubbish that can be bought from us. If you want good shopping, then take the train and go to Barcelona. In Malgrat de Mar you can only buy souvenirs - cheeses, jamon, local wines and liqueurs. Well, the handmade products are also very beautiful - dishes, figurines, paintings and much more. In principle, it’s not that expensive. I bought myself a watch for only 10 euros. For manual work, this is generally pennies.

There are a lot of excursions in Malgrat de Mar, spare no money and time, go to the most interesting ones.

Montserrat. The most Holy place for all Spaniards. Incredibly beautiful and atmospheric. It’s better not to go on your own, the road is difficult.

AND . A two-day trip costs 150-200 euros. You won’t even be able to buy air tickets from Russia for this money. And you definitely need to add two more countries to your travel list, both very beautiful ones.

Besalu. An ancient town located high in the mountains. The beauty is simply breathtaking.

Where would we be without her? It’s better, of course, to go on your own by train, but if you’re afraid, then at least take a sightseeing tour.

Where the Costa del Maresme ends and another begins famous resort amazing Catalonia - Costa Brava, on this very invisible border is located the small town of Malgrat de Mar, which residents prefer to visit Northern Europe. However, there are also many tourists from other countries here.
