Vorontsov baths beach. Where to relax in nature in the Dnieper: Vorontsov beach

Popular beach on the banks of Alupka. It got its name because of the proximity of Vorontsovsky Park, the alleys of which lead directly to the resting place. It is small, so it is filled to capacity during the peak season. The entrance is free, as is the park behind. In the heat, it is nice to hide in the shade of trees, to feed tame squirrels from your hands.

Description of the beach

Alupka is a small town with several beaches, all of which are pebbly. The pebbles are not very large, but not comfortable enough to sunbathe directly on them, spreading out a towel. Fortunately, on the shore you can rent a sun lounger and sun loungers.

The beach area is only 100 meters, and about 6 meters wide. The "back" is covered by a concrete wall, and on both sides the cultural area is limited by two breakwaters. The same breakwater divides the beach into two parts. Entering the water, although gentle, but not very comfortable, there are many large stones and boulders. The depth starts pretty close.

Despite some difficulties for swimming, people go to Vorontsovsky Beach with their children. There is a special area for them, fenced off from the sea by huge boulders. The shallow lagoon also has a rocky bottom, but the water warms up quickly, the pool is poorly supplied with a cold inflow from the sea, strong waves do not break through here.

You can sit with a sun lounger not only by the water, but also a little higher, on the embankment. For this, special zones are allocated. The promenade is also full of small shops and stalls selling ice cream, drinks and souvenirs. There are bars and cafes where you can sit out the heat, have a refreshing drink, and have a snack.

Lovers of solitude can go away from the Central Beach, but behind the breakwaters to the left and right, a wild zone already begins. Vorontsov baths are provided with all the amenities:

  1. Umbrellas and sun loungers.
  2. Changing rooms, showers.
  3. Free toilet.
  4. There is a rental of beach equipment.
  5. Fans of active fun ride "bananas" and catamarans.
  6. Shops and kiosks are open.

For serious entertainment you need to go to neighboring Yalta. It is quiet and calm in Alupka. People come here to take a break from the hustle and bustle, breathe in the mountain air, gain strength under the gentle sun in the warm sea. The main pride of Alupka is the health resorts that started working here over 100 years ago.

When is the best time to go?

Weather conditions in Crimea depend on the place where you will rest: if it is relatively warm and humid on the southern coast, then in other places it can be cooler and drier. The ideal time for a trip is considered to be the period from the end of May to the first half of July, inclusive, when the air and the sea have already warmed up (23-25 degrees), but there is no real heat yet. If you like even warmer weather, choose the second half of July or early August.

Infrastructure

It is thanks to the sanatorium-resort institutions that the infrastructure of Alupka began to develop. Pine air and aroma of park plants, complemented by the sea breeze, create a unique atmosphere of the city.

Those who travel to Alupka with children should be sure to take into account that the whole city consists of ups and downs. This is especially true in the upper part of the city. In a company with toddlers or elderly parents, it is better to rent an apartment in another area. Walking down the steep hills to the sea and back every day will be exhausting.

Tourists settle in sanatoriums and boarding houses, stay in mini-hotels or accept offers from owners in the private sector. The latter option often has as an added bonus a cozy patio with southern vegetation, exotic palms, figs and peach trees. If you arrive at the right time, you may even be lucky to taste the fruits from them. Persimmon, for example, will ripen only for winter.

Most of the hotels are middle class. There are many guest houses and offers in the private sector, where cottages for large groups are popular.

The infrastructure around the Vorontsov Baths may not seem to be active enough. There are no noisy bars and discos in the town. For a capital resident, Alupka will generally seem like a village or a village. But many come here precisely for this measured life, under the protection of the calm Ai-Petri, in the calming lush greenery, to the healing air.

There is no airport or railway station in the city. Tourists get by with buses, trolleybuses and taxis plying between cities. In Alupka itself, you can use the only circular bus that plows the city in a circle. Or you may not use it. For an experienced pedestrian, an hour and a half from one end of the settlement to the other is not a detour.

Alupka beaches in Crimea, reviews and photos- everything about the resort on the South Coast. A cozy children's beach in Alupka with its picturesque nature, or a frog beach with a huge stone in the water, or an azure beach, Black Bugor or a wild beach? How to choose a beach in Alupka in Crimea, how they differ, we will now understand and compare photos of beaches in Alupka.

All the beaches on the South Coast are pebbly, but differ from each other. The smallest pebbles from Miskhor to Foros. Large and gray pebbles from Yalta to Alushta. On the eastern coast of Crimea, pebbles are also small, but with an admixture of clay.

The beaches of Alupka warm up quickly, the swimming season lasts from June to September. The sea water is cleaner here, compared to Yalta and Alushta. If you lay out a series of beaches in Alupka, starting from the border with Simeiz to the border with Koreiz, then they should be arranged in the following order:

  • Frog beach in Alupka;
  • the beach behind the Frog in Alupka;
  • wild beach (Dusya) in Alupka;
  • Black Bugry beach in Alupka;
  • the Cote d'Azur beach in Alupka;
  • the beach beyond the Cote d'Azur;
  • Children's beach in Alupka;
  • the wild beach behind the Children's Beach;
  • city beach in Alupka.

However, in this article they are ranked by popularity. The advantage of staying in Alupka is the proximity of Yalta and a 10-minute walk to the Vorontsov Palace with its beautiful park - this is just a visiting card of Crimea. And also conditionally central location in relation to other places of the Crimea, which can be visited. The disadvantage of rest in Alupka can be called a rather high location above the sea. It is not very convenient to walk with a baby stroller. However, for some it may be a plus. Where else can you practice like this, going down and climbing up the steep stairs and streets. Active physical activity is provided for you.

An offline map of Travelinka will come in handy in Crimea... It does not consume traffic, works completely without the Internet, shows attractions, hotels, and routes routes.

Alupka, photos of beaches: for children

Children's beach is perhaps the most picturesque of all the beaches of Alupka. The reviews about him are the best. The children's beach in Alupka is located right under the Vorontsov Palace, next to the Tea House and is protected from wind and waves from both sides. Once upon a time, the Vorontsov baths were located here. Huge boulders line this shallow lagoon, it is almost always calm and the water is slightly warmer than on other beaches. Immediately behind the boulders, the sea is deep, here many people jump from stones into the water. - a favorite place for families with children - shallow water and warm transparent calm water. In two lagoons, closed from the waves by rocks, all sea creatures are teeming with fish, crabs, large and small. And if you swim out of the lagoon into the sea, a stunning view of Ai-Petri opens up! And right above the beach begins a shady fairytale park with icy waterfalls, stone chaos and exquisite views of the Ai-Todor lighthouse and the sea.

Recently, the children's beach in Alupka has been further improved - they made fences and ladders into the water. Of the minuses - in 2020 in Alupka children's beach covered with gravel, which had not yet had time to run in. There is a dressing room, toilet, cafe, sun loungers and a playground. A lifeguard is on duty at the children's beach in Alupka.

Alupka children's beach photo.

A long stretch of wild coastline begins behind the children's beach in Alupka. This place, despite the absence of pebbles, attracts vacationers, especially those who like less crowded places for swimming. There is silence, the trees of the Vorontsov Park descend almost to the sea, very cozy and secluded. But the beach is stone. There is only one convenient pebbled entry, and that is conditional. Descent here - either from the Aivazovsky stone, or there are several more paths from the lower alley of the park. The views are simply gorgeous - stones, greenery against the backdrop of picturesque mountains.

Frog beach in Alupka

Frog beach is located under the "New District" of Alupka, not far from the "Spanish Village" complex. The beach is surrounded by boulders on both sides. But getting down and sitting is comfortable. Frog beach in Alupka small - three cards, with medium-sized pebbles. The entrance to the sea is shallow, the cover is small pebbles. The name comes from a large stone lying in the sea - from the shore it really looks like a fat frog. The guys jump from it into the sea. Whoever is bolder climbs to the highest point.

Of the minuses - Frog beach in Alupka at the moment it is not equipped (no toilets, changing rooms, sheds), as well as its crowded season, incl. very much loved by the locals. Of the pros - water on Frog beach in Alupka very clean and transparent. The place is picturesque, there are practically no waves. There is a car entrance (not quite to the Frog beach itself in Alupka, there is an exit from the city to the embankment, and already it will take about 10 minutes to walk along it). In the evening, crabs crawl out onto the stones.

Ellingi beach in Alupka

Behind the Frog beach in Alupka there is a small section of the coast called "Ellingi". There is no beach as such, the shore is filled with concrete, although some boathouses have made themselves quite comfortable slopes and baths. From the pros - there is a car entrance. Cons - concrete instead of beach and crowded. Many boathouses have grown into multi-storey buildings, as is often the case here.

The wild beach of Alupka, or the Dusya beach, or the Kuchmovsky beach begins immediately behind the beach of the Yuzhnoberezhny sanatorium. This part of the coast is predominantly rocky, but there is a section with pebbles, albeit large ones. Almost to the beach itself you can drive up by car (descent from Cape Verde), then a staircase leads to the wild beach in Alupka. From the pros - not too crowded, especially if you walk further from the stairs, clean water, interesting snorkeling, because there are pitfalls. Here fish swim and crabs live. The disadvantages of the wild beach in Alupka are not equipped, not pebbled.

Azure beach, Alupka

Azure beach in Alupka, orCote d'Azur beach - a place where the sea is of extraordinary emerald color! The water is clear, so you can see the bottom. The beach is divided into three parts by breakwaters. In some places near the coast there are picturesque pebbles, with a whole set of living creatures on them. In the last couple of years, pebbles have not been brought here, so the beaches have become narrower. Azure beach in Alupka not very crowded, despite the hotel complexes located on this coast. On the embankment itself there is all the relevant infrastructure - cafes, souvenirs, etc. There are changing rooms. You can drive up to the beach, right on the embankment.

Azure beach in Alupka photo.

Behind the Cote d'Azur beach in Alupka is a stretch of the coast littered with concrete breakwaters. Behind them is one beach map belonging to the Gornoe Solntse sanatorium. The entrance is free, there are sun loungers, umbrellas on the beach, a lifeguard is on duty. The beach is small-pebbled.

And immediately behind it is another small beach at the pier. Now the pier is not working, ships do not moor here, so the place has become cozy. There are areas with small pebbles and large ones. You can go down here from Vorontsovsky Park. Of the minuses - for some reason, jellyfish often gather here.

Black Bugor beach is the smallest pebbled beach in Alupka and the longest. Several descents lead here, from Cape Verde and from the bus station area. Car entrance to Black Bugor beach in Alupka no, but you can drive up to a wild beach, and then walk for 5-10 minutes. Beach Black Bugor in Alupka extended, very pleasant, with clean water, small pebbles, in places almost sand. There are changing rooms, a toilet, a cafe with WI-FI, there are sun loungers, umbrellas. You can ride a banana, ATV or bun.

Black Bugor beach in Alupka photo.

There are no downsides. Black Bugor beach in Alupka- one of the best beaches in Alupka, if not the best. The place is very picturesque, from here a panorama of Alupka and Miskhor opens up to the Gasprinsky lighthouse. In the evenings on Black Bugor beach in Alupka come to sit by the sea, or even stir up barbecue, because the place is very cozy!

Alupka: city beach

And the last beach is the Gorodskoy beach in Alupka, or "Vorontsov Baths", located below Vorontsovsky Park. V Alupka city beach small pebble, equipped with sun loungers, changing rooms, there is a toilet. There is also a lifeguard on duty. There are a couple of cafes on the embankment. The pier does not work here, the boats do not run. Descent here - from Vorontsovsky Park. - This is a rather crowded place, also very beloved by the locals. Therefore, to get a good seat, you need to come early in the morning.

In Alupka, walking along the lower alley of Vorontsov Park, you can fully enjoy the divine aroma of the Aleppo pine! Some people have been coming to Alupka for years just to be able to breathe this air. In a grove not far from the city beach, you can always see people snuggled up on rugs, with provisions for the day. Here, where the Allep pine tree descends to the sea itself, on the hottest day there are rising cool breezes, a pleasant shade, seagulls and the sound of the surf. There is no better place to read a book to the ringing of cicadas or just lie around and think about something pleasant. Well, if you get bored - a minute of descent - and splash in the azure waters of a small closed cove on city beach of Alupka... Reviews about this place are positive.

We reviewed reviews about beaches in Alupka, children's beach, frog beach in Alupka, Black Bugor beach, city beach in Alupka and you can decide for yourself which beach in Alupka is the best. Do not forget to download the offline map of Travelinka. Not a bad resort on the South Coast of Alupka. Photos of the beaches and the promenade proved this once again. If you are interested in Crimea, I advise you to read other articles as well.

Alupka is a popular resort town located in the heart of the southern coast of Crimea, where vacationers come en masse, they talk about it, and even sing songs, putting Alupka on a par with Sochi. And obviously not by chance.

Alupka is located in the center of the Crimean subtropical coastal strip and is immersed in the greenery of exotic vegetation. It is enough to take a boat on the Alupka pier and look at the city from the water, and you will see it in all its glory, be amazed at how great it is green.

In Alupka, as in other villages of the Crimean South Coast, there is a wonderful climate with little rain, mild and warm winters, and in addition, the city is protected from the winds from the land side by a mountain ridge headed by the "toothy" beauty Ai-Petri. Summer is not so hot here. The sea breezes protect from the heat, creating comfort during the rest.

The sea itself in Alupka is clean, but those who like to soak up the soft sandy beaches will be disappointed: in these places the coastal strip consists exclusively of pebbles, stones and rocks. There are, of course, advantages: no sand will accidentally fall into your eyes if a strong wind breaks out, and the sea water will never be muddy from the waves - on pebble beaches the water is always cleaner than on sandy ones.

Alupka. Breakwaters

Despite the purity of the water, not everyone likes the Alupka beaches. The fact is that they are quite narrow and in summer they are always crowded with people. About them in July-August, you can literally say that there is nowhere for an apple to fall - no personal space.

Alupka, Crimea. Beaches in Alupka

Some tourists believe that it is better not to stop in Alupka for this reason, but it is more rational to do it in neighboring Miskhor. As an option - to come here during the velvet season, in September, when the sea is still warm, and the number of tourists is already noticeably diminished. You can drive to Alupka at the beginning of the season - in April-May, when the beaches are not yet teeming with endless crowds of people. But only seasoned beachgoers will be able to fully swim during this period, because the sea is still chilly.

Not everyone will like the fact that almost all Alupka beaches look artificial because of the numerous concrete breakwaters. On the other hand, these breakwaters are handy for those who enjoy diving. In any case, you will not find wild beaches in Alupka. This is too a tidbit of the southern coast of Crimea to have free places here. Some of the city's coastal areas have been chosen by former and current high-ranking officials and multimillionaires.

The convenient location of Alupka is another reason why it has gained popularity and has become so in demand. The "resort capital" of Yalta is only 17 km away from here, the city is surrounded by no less tasty Mishor and Simeiz, the picturesque mountain Ai-Petri rises above Alupka, where a unique cable car leads from Miskhor, and the symbol of the whole Crimea rises in the nearby Gaspra - unique palace Swallow's Nest. This is despite the fact that I have not yet remembered that within a radius of 30 kilometers from here there is a whole constellation of attractions, most of which are the main ones in Crimea.

On the streets of Alupka

There is an attraction in Alupka that people come to see from everywhere, and sightseeing buses sometimes line up. It competes with the Livadia Palace for the title of the most luxurious residence on the Crimean peninsula. Of course, we are talking about the Vorontsov Palace and the park, in the green arms of which this magnificent palace is located.

Alupka. Vorontsov Palace

The cost of housing in Alupka is almost the same as in Yalta. Prices for a double room in hotels in summer start from 600 rubles. In August, prices jump to their maximum, and there are few accommodation options during this peak period, so rooms are sold at almost any price. Despite some of the disadvantages of this resort, there are people who want to rest here every year - they are attracted by the convenience of the location of Alupka, its historic palace and the incomparable park with it. Word of mouth is doing its job: having heard a lot from friends about the delights of Alupka, more and more vacationers come here every year, and city beaches are becoming more crowded, which, of course, does not make this resort more attractive.

Alupka. A park

You can take a ride to neighboring cities and villages, including Yalta, from Alupka not only by a banal taxi or minibus, but also by a scheduled boat on the sea, with a breeze. Boats run several times a day, and the impressions of the time spent in such a romantic way on the ship overlooking the wonderful Crimean coast and mountains will remain in your memory for a long time. Don't forget to take your camera with you!

Vorontsov Palace and Park Complex

It was this object that at one time radically influenced the fate of Alupka and contributed to the fact that a modest village began to grow and subsequently turned into a whole city. This happened after the Russian statesman, Governor-General of the Novorossiysk Territory Mikhail Vorontsov decided to build his summer residence here - for some reason he liked these places.

Alupka. Vorontsov Palace

The palace and the park were erected thoroughly, for a long 20 years, English, German, Italian, French architects, gardeners, sculptors, artists worked on them, and serfs were involved in the construction work. The architecture of the palace contains elements of different eras, and it was erected in an unusual Gothic-Moorish style. The gray-green color of the Vorontsov Palace is explained by the fact that it was built of a special stone - diabase, which has a non-standard volcanic origin and is very durable. Imagine that Red Square in Moscow is paved with exactly the same Crimean diabase.

Alupka. Vorontsov Palace

The Vorontsov Palace is one of the most visited museums in Crimea, where the personal belongings of the Vorontsov family are kept, and the interior has remained the same, in the style of the 19th century.

Alupka. Vorontsov Palace

Of course, the nosy filmmakers couldn't ignore the palace. Many scenes and episodes were filmed in and around him, which then became part of the films, some of which are famous. These are the films "An Ordinary Miracle", "D'Artanyan and the Three Musketeers", "The Journey of Pan Blots", "Heavenly Swallows", "Sappho".

The park, created under the supervision of the scrupulous German gardener Karl Kebach, deserves no less admiration. The area of the park together with the palace is about 40 hectares.

In Vorontsovsky Park

In the lower part of the park there is an excellent embodiment of the architect's idea - a teahouse with columns and a fountain. And even lower you can go down to a good beach without any breakwaters, with large stones and natural baths with stagnant water and shallow depth. This beach is child-friendly, which is why it is called a children's beach.

There is a rock near the beach, the upper part of which is not pointed, but looks like a plateau, and therefore it is convenient to sit on it. It is called the Aivazovsky rock, the corresponding tablet announces this. The rock was named for a reason: the great marine painter Ivan Aivazovsky loved to work on paintings while sitting on it.

The downside is that it is problematic to drive up to the palace and park complex by car, since the cars here are apparently invisible and often, due to tightness, it can be difficult to pass each other. And parking at the entrance to the complex is not cheap - 200 rubles for 2 hours. But a couple of hours is too little to enjoy this unforgettable creation of man and nature to the fullest.

Despite the minor flaws, the Vorontsov Palace with the park of the same name is what they go to Alupka for excursions and settle in it during the holidays.

A single ticket giving the right to visit all expositions and exhibitions of the palace and park complex costs 300 rubles. For the right to photo or video, you need to pay extra 30 rubles. And you can walk through the palace park with a guide for 50 rubles. Feel the amazing atmosphere of this unique object, which is the pride of Crimea!

Tasting room Massandra in Alupka

This is another excursion object in Alupka, where buses with tourists sometimes call in. It is located not far from the Vorontsov Palace, and you can go there even immediately after walking through the palace and park complex.
During the tasting, you will be offered 10 types of wines. They will tell about each of them in a fascinating way, tell about the history of winemaking in Crimea. Get ready and listen to a master class on wine etiquette - it will be informative and interesting. In total, the tasting takes 45 minutes - you will not regret that you have come, and, perhaps, you will get your favorite types of wines in the brand shop of the Massandra winery. The tasting cost is affordable - 150 rubles.

Hotels on the southern coast of Crimea

Summer has come - the time when you want to relax in nature. There are enough places for outdoor recreation in our city.

I decided to tell you where in our city you can have a picnic or just lie on the bedspread.

This week we visited Vorontsov Beach. And we learned all the pros and cons of this place.

How to get there

Getting to our place of work will not be difficult, but if you are without a car, you will have to walk a little.

We will tell you how to get to the place on your own. To do this, you need to get to the stop "Prospect Manuylovsky (formerly Vorontsov), which is located on Slobozhansky Prospect (former Prospect Pravdy). There is a McDonald’s next to the bus stop, you can navigate by it. There are a lot of minibuses passing by, namely: 31, 38, 43, 45, 45a, 57, 57a, 62, 64, 76, 98, 105, 107, 116, 124a, 125, 126, 136, 148, 177.

There is only one road leading to the beach, you will immediately notice it. A more detailed route is shown on the map.

How to get

INFRASTRUCTURE

Before you go to rest on Vorontsovsky beach, you need to buy food and drinks in advance, since there are no shops on the beach itself. You can buy everything you need in the ATB supermarket, in the market and shops, which are a 10-minute walk from the resting place.

There are no shops in the beach area

CLEANLINESS AND CONVENIENCES

I would like to note the cleanliness of the beach. This is closely monitored here. In the district you will not see papers lying around and scattered garbage, and there are a large number of waste bins on the territory.

There are many urns on the territory

Since the beach has recently been renovated, it has all the necessary amenities. There are several showers, taps where you can wash your feet from the sand, changing cabins and drinking fountains. There are also toilets on the beach - both paid and free. The paid ones are much cleaner and are not deterred by the pungent smell.

The beach has toilets for every taste

REST ZONE

The beach has several volleyball courts, a sandy football field, parallel bars and horizontal bars, as well as several tables for playing chess and checkers. Unfortunately, we did not find any slides or swings for children. In addition, the beach is equipped with lifeguard towers, here you are safe. There is also a first-aid post.

Medical center and sports ground

Rescue tower

The beach is large enough, here you can sunbathe, but if you are tired of the sun, you can hide under awnings or sit on a bench in the shade. For this, there is a separate area near the beach with beautifully planted flower beds and a large number of benches. Cars are not allowed to enter the beach area and are closed by a barrier. You can leave your car in the parking area; there are also special places where you can leave your bike.

There is a place to hide from the sun

Cozy benches

There are also several cafes on the banks of the Dnieper, where you can feel the atmosphere of the sea coast. They always play music and serve food that brings back memories of the sea. In addition, it is possible to rent a gazebo and barbecue for your picnic, where you can get together in a big company with friends or family.

You can rent a gazebo and barbecue

There is also a cafe on site

If you want to find a place where there are fewer or no people at all, then you need to walk further along the coast. There you can find small green meadows and miniature beaches.

If you are planning to cook over a fire, take a brazier with you in advance or rent it here. Making a fire without a barbecue is prohibited here. It is possible to find firewood in the area, but it will give you a hassle, since there are not many of them here, so it is better to purchase them in advance.

For fishing enthusiasts, there is also a secluded spot where you can fish in silence.
