In what year were the pyramids built. Egyptian pyramids: interesting facts

The Egyptian pyramids, built by aliens, according to the proponents of this point of view, were a cosmodrome where their spaceships landed, including for refueling.

At the top of the Cheops pyramid, there is now a flat platform. According to scientists, there was a triangular stone pyramidion, but perhaps it was not there at all. It is hard to imagine that he just disappeared, because his weight was about one hundred tons.

Why aren't the aliens now using the pyramids for their intended purpose? Experts agree that although extraterrestrial beings continue to visit our planet, they no longer need pyramids. In view of technical progress, they now have other ships that do not need such a cosmodrome. In this way, Pyramids of Egypt Is a kind of outdated alien space equipment.

Signs have been preserved in the pyramids indicating the placement of special alien equipment there. So, in the Great Gallery, there are 28 recesses on the walls. One gets the impression that they housed something, perhaps some kind of mechanisms and devices, with the help of which, in particular, energy was generated for the functioning of ships.

Where did all these devices go? Most likely, they were destroyed by the aliens themselves. After the invention of more advanced means of transportation, the old technology was no longer needed.

In the middle of the pyramid, in the king's room, is a large granite box. It may have contained alien fuel. There is also an opinion that various chemical processes took place in this room, after all, it was not by chance, this room is finished with granite, not limestone, because granite is much harder and more reliable. The room is completely sealed, except for two tunnels, which scientists believe are ventilation shafts. But is it?

The tunnels have entrance holes 20 x 20 cm, they are located on the walls at a distance of 1 m from the floor. Is it a coincidence that the top of the granite box is at the same height. Another oddity is that the walls of the tunnels are made of large stone slabs, which suggests that something else was not flowing through them. It can be concluded that through the tunnels fuel was supplied to the top for refueling the ships.

At the bottom of the pyramid there is a room with an uneven bottom. This is odd because all the other rooms are perfectly aligned. Perhaps there was a warehouse in it, so they did not bring it to perfect condition. The room has a tunnel leading upstairs. Most likely, an elevator was moving through the tunnel, transporting substances from the warehouse.

And the aliens moved inside the pyramids with the help of special elevators, like capsules through numerous tunnels. It is no coincidence that all these tunnels have such precise dimensions.

How did the aliens build the pyramids? It can be assumed that they did not move the stone blocks manually, but through the air using special beams that were generated by alien ships.

Why information about aliens is hidden

There are two main reasons why information about alien civilization so carefully conceal.

The first reason is to prevent panic among the population. It is known that the US government has created a special project "Blue Book". According to official information, he was supposed to study alien phenomena. In fact, he developed various ways to hide the fact of the existence of aliens from the inhabitants of the planet.

Another reason is that the world powers are trying to get ahead of each other in the field of research on alien technology. By studying high-tech equipment, you can gain the ability to apply extraterrestrial knowledge to produce unrivaled types of weapons.

Despite this secrecy, an increasing number of the planet's inhabitants believe that we are not alone in this universe.

The version about the construction of pyramids by a highly developed civilization

This theory also does not apply to the officially recognized, but boils down to the fact that the pyramids were built by people.

Proponents of this theory believe that once upon a time there was already a civilization on Earth with a high level of consciousness and technology.

According to one theory, such a civilization was the Atlanteans (inhabitants of Atlantis), who built the pyramids or helped the inhabitants of Egypt in this.

According to another version, the ancient inhabitants of Egypt were able to find and apply the technologies of civilizations that existed in the past for the construction of pyramids. Again, historians know nothing about the existence of such civilizations.

Another theory boils down to the fact that the ancient Egyptians themselves stood at an extremely high stage of development.

Conclusion

Summing up, we can come to the following conclusion: the one who built the pyramids of Egypt clearly possessed high level development in technology. This level of knowledge could only be possessed by an extraterrestrial civilization or, as we call them, aliens.

The most ancient wonder of the world that we can admire even now is the pyramid of Cheops. Shrouded in myths and legends, the Egyptian pyramid was the largest and tallest structure for many millennia. Khufu (another name for the pyramid) is located in Giza - the very popular place crowds of tourists.

History of the pyramids

The pyramids in Egypt are practically the main attraction of the country. There are many hypotheses related to their origin and construction. But they all agree on one important conclusion of the pyramid in Egypt - these are impressive tombs for the great inhabitants of the country (in those days they were the pharaohs). The Egyptians believed in the afterlife and further life after death. It was believed that only a few are worthy of continuing their life path after death - these are actually the pharaohs of their families and slaves, who were constantly next to the rulers. Images of slaves and servants were painted on the walls of tombs so that after their death they could continue to serve their king. According to the ancient religion of the Egyptians, man had two inner souls, Ba and Ka. Ba - left the Egyptian after his death, and Ka always acted as a virtual double and waited for him in the world of the dead.

So that the pharaoh did not need anything in the afterlife, food, weapons, kitchen utensils, gold and much more were left in the tomb of the pyramid. In order for the body to remain unchanged and wait for the second soul of Ba, it was necessary to preserve it. This is how the birth of body embalming and the need to create pyramids arose.

The rise of the pyramids in Egypt dates back to the construction of the pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser 5 millennia ago. The outer walls of the first pyramid were in the form of steps, which symbolized the ascent to heaven. The building was 60 meters high with many corridors and several tombs. Djoser's chamber was located in the underground part of the pyramid. Several more passages were made from the royal tomb leading to small chambers. They contained all the accessories for the further afterlife of the Egyptians. Closer to the east, chambers were found for the entire family of the pharaoh. The structure itself was not so huge in comparison with the pyramid of Pharaoh Cheops, whose height is almost 3 times greater. But it is with the pyramid of Djoser that the history of the emergence of all Egyptian pyramids.

Very often in the photo of the Cheops pyramid, you can see two more nearby pyramids. These are the famous pyramids of Herfen and Mekerin. It is these three pyramids that are considered the most important treasures of the country. The height of the Cheops pyramid significantly distinguishes it from the rest near the standing and other pyramids of Egypt. Initially, the walls of the structure were smooth, but after a long period of years they began to crumble. If you look at modern photos pyramids of Cheops, then you can see the relief of the facade and its unevenness, formed over the millennia.

The birth of the Cheops pyramid

According to the official version, the pyramid of Cheops was erected in the fall of 2480 BC. Date of occurrence of the first ancient miracle light, many historians and researchers dispute, citing arguments in favor of their arguments. The construction of the Great Pyramid took about 2-3 decades. More than one hundred thousand inhabitants took part in it ancient egypt and the best masters of that time. First of all, a large road was built for the delivery of building materials, then underground passages and a mine. Most of the time was spent on the construction of the upper part of the pyramid - the walls and internal passages and tombs.

There are very interesting feature buildings: the height of the Cheops pyramid in its original form and the width was 147 meters. Due to the sands filling the base of the structure and sprinkling of the facing part, it has decreased by 10 meters and now it is now 137 meters in height. A giant tomb was built mainly from huge, weighing about 2.5 tons of limestone and granite blocks, which were carefully polished so as not to lose the ideal shape of the structure. And in the tomb itself ancient pharaoh granite blocks were found, the weight of which reached almost 80 tons. According to the calculations of Egyptologists, it took about 2,300,000 huge stones, which cannot but impress us all.

The doubts associated with the construction of the pyramid were that in those dark times there were no special machines and devices at all capable of lifting and ideally folding heavy blocks under a certain slope. Some believed that more than a million people took part in the construction, others that the blocks were lifted by a lifting mechanism. Everything was so thought out and as perfect as possible that without the use of concrete mortar and cement, the stones were laid in such a way that it was completely impossible to insert even thin paper between them! There is an assumption that the pyramid was not created at all by people, but by aliens or another force unknown to man.

We are based specifically on the fact that the pyramids are still the creation of people. In order to quickly remove a stone of the required size and shape from the rock, its outlines were made. A conventional shape was carved, and a dry tree was inserted into it. It was regularly watered with water, the tree grew from moisture, and under its pressure a crack was formed in the rock. Now the large block was removed and given the required shape and size. The stones for construction were redirected along the river by huge boats.

A massive wooden sled was used to lift the heavy boulders up. On a gentle rise, the stones were lifted one after another by their teams of hundreds of slaves.

Pyramid device

The entrance to the pyramid was originally not where it is now. It was in the form of an arch and was located on the north side of the building more than 15 meters high. In an attempt to rob the great tomb in 820, a new entrance was made, already at a height of 17 meters. But Caliph Abu Jafar, who wanted to enrich himself with the loot, did not find any jewelry and valuable things and left with nothing. It is this passage that is now open to tourists.

The pyramid consists of several long corridors leading to the tombs. Immediately after the entrance, there is a common corridor that diverges into 2 tunnels leading to the central and lower parts of the pyramid. The chamber below is not completed for some reason. There is also a narrow loophole, behind which there is only a dead end and a three-meter well. Climbing up the corridor, you will find yourself in the Great Gallery. If you take the first left and walk a little, you will see the chamber of the Vladyka's wife. And along the corridor above there is the largest one - the tomb of the pharaoh himself.

The beginning of the gallery is interesting because there is a long and narrow almost vertical grotto. There is an assumption that he was there and was even before the base of the pyramid itself. From both tombs of the pharaoh and his wife, narrow passages about 20 centimeters wide are made. Presumably they were made to ventilate the chambers. There is another version that these passages and corridors are signs of the stars: Sirius, Alnitaki and Tuban and that the pyramid served as a place for astronomical research. But there is another opinion - according to the belief in the afterlife, the Egyptians believed that the soul returns from heaven through the channels.

There is one important and interesting fact - the construction of the pyramid was carried out strictly at one angle of 26.5 degrees. There is every reason to believe that the inhabitants of antiquity were very well versed in geometry and the exact sciences. That only are proportional smooth corridors and ventilation ducts.

Not far from the pyramid itself, Egyptian cedar boats were found during excavations. They were made of pure wood without a single nail. One of the boats of the ball is divided into 1224 parts. Restorer Ahamed Yussuf Mustafa managed to collect it. To do this, the architect had to spend as many as 14 years, such a high patience in the name of science can only be envied. The assembled boat can be admired today in the bizarre museum. He is with south side Great pyramid.

Unfortunately, inside the pyramid itself, you cannot shoot videos and photographs. But on the other hand, you can take many incredible pictures in the background of this creation. Various souvenirs are also sold here, so that an excursion to these enchanting places can remind you of yourself for a long time.

The photos of the Cheops pyramid certainly do not reflect all the greatness and uniqueness of this structure .. With us you will plunge into history and look at the world with different eyes!

    Djoser's pyramid

    Giza, Al Badrashin

It is definitely worth deciding on this trip, if only out of curiosity. After all, the pyramid of Djoser is recognized as the oldest surviving Egyptian pyramid. Yes, yes, this is the first pyramid of Egypt, and it was built in honor of the ruler Djoser by the architect and close associate of the pharaoh Imhotep.

  • The pyramids of Egypt are a unique architectural monument that has remained for centuries thanks to mysterious builders who managed to create structures so strong that no natural disasters and destructive wars could completely destroy these ancient Egyptian necropolises. The mystery of the pyramids has not yet been solved: it is impossible to speak with certainty about the method of their construction, or about who acted as the main labor force. Now in Egypt, there are about 118 pyramids, the largest of which were built during the reign of the III and IV dynasties of the pharaohs, that is, during the period of the so-called Old Kingdom. There are two types of pyramids: stepped and regular. The most ancient structures are considered to be of the first type. For example, the pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser, dating back to 2650 BC. e.

Necropolis translated from Greek means “ City of dead”And is a cemetery, usually located on the outskirts of the city. The Egyptian pyramids - one of the varieties of this kind of burial - served as monumental tombs for the pharaohs.

What do we know about the pyramids of Egypt?

For the first time, they learned about the pyramids thanks to the ancient Greek historian Herodotus, who lived in the 5th century BC. Traveling through Egypt, he was amazed famous pyramids Giza and immediately ranked one of them, dedicated to Cheops, to the seven wonders of the world. Moreover, it was Herodotus who created the legend about how these structures were built. As soon as the pyramids became the object of research by scientists, and this happened only two hundred years ago, this legend immediately became a historical truth, the reliability of which was refuted not so long ago.

How the ancient pyramids were built

Until our time, not so much has survived as we would like. Numerous vandals who plundered the pyramids for the treasures hidden inside, and locals, breaking out stone blocks for the construction of palaces and mosques, destroyed part of the external and internal appearance. So, Pink or Northern pyramid from Dakhshur (26 km south of Cairo) got its name from the color of the stone turning pink in the rays of the setting sun. However, she was not always like this. Previously, the structure was covered with white limestone, which was completely used for the construction of houses in Cairo.

For a long time it was believed that people who disturb the peace of the pharaohs are doomed by the ancient gods to death. This was confirmed by the legend of the curse of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, according to which everyone who participated in the opening of the grave had to die within several years. Indeed, by 1929 (the tomb was opened in 1922) 22 people, one way or another involved in the autopsy, had died. Whether the reason was the magic of Ancient Egypt or the poison put into the sarcophagus during burial - it remains to be wondered.

It is believed that the famous Great Sphinx, which lies not far from the pyramids of Giza, is the guardian of the rest of the buried pharaohs.

Architecture and internal structure of the pyramids

The pyramids were only part of the ritual and burial complex. Next to each of them there were two temples, one side by side, and the other much lower, so that its foot was washed by the waters of the Nile. The pyramids and temples were connected by alleys. An analogue of a similar alley can be seen in Luxor. The famous Luxor and Karnak temples were united by the alley of the sphinxes, which has partially survived to our time. The pyramids of Giza have practically not preserved their temples and alleys: only the lower temple of Khafre, the pharaoh of the IV dynasty, which for a long time was considered the temple of the Great Sphinx, remained.

The internal structure of the pyramids implied the obligatory presence of a chamber where the sarcophagus with the mummy was located, and the cut passages to this chamber. Sometimes religious texts were placed there. Thus, the interior of the pyramids in Saqqara, an Egyptian village 30 km from Cairo, contained the most ancient works of funeral literature that have come down to us.

It is believed that the famous Great Sphinx, which lies not far from the pyramids of Giza, is the guardian of the rest of the buried pharaohs. The ancient Egyptian name for this first monumental sculpture in the world has not survived to our time. Only the Greek version of the designation remained in history. Medieval Arabs called the Sphinx "the father of horror".

Modern Egyptologists suggest that the construction of the pyramids was carried out in several stages. Moreover, sometimes the size of the tomb in the process of creation increased several times in comparison with the original project. Pharaohs have been building their tomb for many years. Only land work and leveling the site for the future construction required at least ten. Pharaoh Cheops took twenty years to build the largest pyramid to date. The workers who built the tombs were not slaves tortured to death at all. Moreover, archaeological excavations showed that they were kept in fairly decent conditions, treated and fed normally. However, it is still not known exactly how the huge stone blocks got to the very top. It is only obvious that the construction technique has changed over time, and later structures were built differently than the first.

Egyptian pyramids - well, it would seem that there is something new to say? Everything has already been researched and re-examined, all the riddles have been solved, the secrets have been revealed. However, until now, these buildings excite the minds of researchers and everyone who is interested in ancient Egypt. And despite the fact that there are a lot of pyramids in Egypt, first of all, of course, everyone has an image of the pyramids of Giza not far from present-day Cairo. Well, let's look at the pyramids from a seditious point of view. Relatively recently, scientists discovered that in the Cheops pyramid there are not only ventilation shafts, but also secret rooms, to which it is impossible for a person to get through. Firstly, the entire pyramid of Cheops, which is 138 meters high, is penetrated by 4 narrow inclined passages with a section of 20 centimeters, which are considered to be ventilation. Secondly, it is proved that two shafts from the tomb of the pharaoh go out. Why ventilation in a sealed tomb, not to mention the fact that inclined mines significantly complicated the construction of such a large-scale structure. Thirdly, two shafts, which, it would seem, should be ventilation for the tomb of the Pharaoh's wife, not only do not come to the surface, they did not even reach the tomb itself, that is, they were sealed passages. Since the shafts are quite narrow and stretch quite far, then shed some light on the question "what is there?" succeeded only in 1990. A robot specially assembled for this task managed to crawl through the mine as much as 63 meters and only found an obstacle in front of it - a stone door with two metal pins - handles, which, you guessed it, the robot could not open. In 2002, another robot reached the door, drilled a hole in it, inserted a camera into it, and saw that behind the door, at a distance of 20 centimeters, there was another door, exactly the same. Before her, the drill was no longer enough. After another 9 years, a robot called the Jedi was finally built, which had a more confident preparation for this kind of research. So the Jedi robot reached the same place as its predecessor and just more accurately examined the small room between the two doors. There is a kind of hieroglyphs on the floor, the meaning of which is not yet clear. Also, a special movable camera on the robot turned around and showed the door from the back side, it is well polished, has decorative loops. In other words, this is not a stone that would prevent debris from entering the mine; it is a door that someone has used. Perhaps he pulled her by the hinges behind him? But how? But the strangest thing is that for some reason the pictures taken by the robot have not been published all. For example, it is not known what was depicted on the ceiling. And why did the robot never penetrate the second wall? Moreover, for some reason, nine years later, the right wall of the secret room received two longitudinal scratches, and the upper wall - the ceiling - a deeper cut, as if they were pressed against it. Note that according to official data, none of the robots entered the camera itself. Fortunately, or not, practice shows that simply meditating is not enough for the brain to develop. We need specialized exercises and training. The best solution in this matter is the online platform VIKIUM, which offers a whole range of special courses and simulators aimed at pumping brain performance. It improves memory, reaction, attention, concentration, as well as the work of thinking. Indeed, our effectiveness in many areas of life directly depends on them. More than 4 million users have already rated the online platform Wikium. You can study for free, but with few restrictions. Useful, fun and, most importantly, it will take you 15-20 minutes a day. So it's definitely worth a try, the link can be found under the video. Well, we go further and ask ourselves a difficult question - how old are the pyramids of Egypt? Science has not yet determined the exact date of their construction. Scientists in their definitions differ not even for centuries, but for millennia. According to the traditional version, the pyramids are already 4.5 thousand years old. 150 years ago, a so-called inventory stele was found in Giza, on which it was written that Cheops only ordered the restoration of the Sphinx, and not build it. Also in the 90s, it was proved that the furrows on the body of the Sphinx are traces of rain erosion, however, the rains that could have done this in Egypt were not according to the official chronology for at least 8000 years. Well, the fact that there are medieval maps with full-flowing rivers, cities, blooming Africa and Egypt, it all, of course, just seemed. The most interesting thing is that immediately after the publication of this fact, the Egyptian authorities organized an urgent restoration of the Sphinx. As a result, all traces of erosion have disappeared. Simultaneously with the restoration of national museum the inventory stele was also removed. However, there is also another dating. The astronomer claims that the pyramids copy the arrangement of stars in the constellation Orion, which was observed, attention, 12.5 thousand years ago. The great pyramid and similar in size to the Pyramid of Khafre take the place of the two brightest stars in the Orion belt, and the smaller Minkaura pyramid is offset from the axis of the two neighboring ones, just like the third and smallest star in the belt. But maybe all this great antiquity was created not so long ago, and since then not thousands of years have passed, but several hundred? Back in the 19th century, there was an assumption about the uniqueness of the Cheops pyramid, which is also called the Great Pyramid. Judge for yourself, when measuring the pyramid of Cheops itself, it turned out that the perimeter of the pyramid, divided by a double height, gives the exact number of Pi with an accuracy of one hundred thousandth. Interestingly, the sacred measure of the length of Egypt, that is, the pyramidal inch is one billionth of the Earth's orbit, traversed by it in 24 hours. By a strange coincidence, the pyramidal inch is exactly equal to the English inch. Why do the British units of measure exactly correspond to the "sacred" units of Ancient Egypt? Maybe because they existed at the same historical time ? By the way, this reminds of a bearded anecdote about two horse asses, look in the comments, if not in the know. But seriously, here's some more food for thought: At the latitude of the Egyptian pyramids, 34 degrees, is the American city of Houston. Space flight control center, there is also a geodetic control center. The famous Cape Canaveral is also relatively close. So one minute of this latitude of 34 degrees is equal to approximately 1609 meters. And this value is widespread and is called the American mile. And it is also called British, statutory. Usually, when they say just "mile", they mean it. At the latitude of Moscow, if we take approximately 55.5 degrees, based on the fact that at that time the accuracy was rather approximate, one minute of this latitude is 1054 meters. In Russian culture, this value is called a double mile. One verst, respectively, equals 526 meters. Thus, in those days, the 17th century, the measures of length for each latitude were determined separately and were different everywhere. We are now hearing various versions of this system. For example, there is the Bavarian and Munich feet, the differences between which are very small. The ratio of the Moscow standard inch 2.54 to the equatorial inch 4.46 refers to 4/7 This value - 4/7 or 7/4 was taken as a constant, it was legalized in the 17th century and in accordance with this measure the vershok value was recalculated. And this version of 4.445 cm was finally adopted. But back to Egypt. The diagonal of the pyramid gives its absolutely exact direction along the meridian. Moreover, the accuracy of this direction to the theoretical North Pole was greater than that achieved during the construction of the Paris Observatory. And there are still a lot of other similar oddities. Well, the most interesting thing is the technology of building the Great Pyramid. Scientists continue to insist that the Egyptian pyramids were built from monolithic stone blocks. Until now, the generally accepted absurd picture is considered that thousands and thousands of slaves worked in quarries, cutting down monoliths weighing from 2.5 to 15 tons, and then on sledges on the sand pulled them to the construction site. And in the end, with the help of ingenious machines, or with the help of giant inclined embankments, 15 ton blocks were dragged to a height of many tens of meters. True, some blocks are five times heavier, and reach seventy tons. Many years ago, a professor at the University of Bern, Joseph Davidovich, hypothesized that the pyramids could be made of concrete. As evidence, he cited the results of his chemical experiments and visual studies of ancient artifacts. Pay attention to the slab, the surface of the block is covered with a fine mesh, this is the trace of the mat that was applied to the inner surface of the formwork box. The concrete version has been developed in detail and at the moment explains almost all the mysteries in pyramid construction technologies. The absence of gaps between the blocks, numerous traces of formwork, the nature of the filling of the blocks, smudges, embedded elements, grouting of concrete that has not yet cooled to the end, and much, much more ... Almost all load-bearing elements of structures of ancient Egypt are made of sedimentary rocks. This material was ground and poured into the formwork as part of the mortar. The use of partially calcined gypsum is most likely a consequence of the fact that in summer in Egypt, there is an extremely high temperature and a complete absence of precipitation. Sometimes it doesn't rain for several years. It is likely that no additional technical means were used to dehydrate the gypsum, and the material dehydrated naturally when heated under sunlight. With regard to the use of additives, then, probably, they were, because for construction work, it is necessary to increase the solidification time of the material. One of these technologies - the addition of milk whey to the gypsum solution increases the setting time, and it is possible that something similar was used in Egypt. In ancient Egypt, artificial granite from natural stone chips was widely used. Artificial granite was used not only for casting the entire structural element, but also as a decorative, protective coating for various structural and decorative elements of buildings cast from sedimentary rocks, as well as for decorating interiors as coatings. Of course, in addition to the above, stone processing was also used. Well, about the fact that the Giza plateau is well known for its massive underground system, which consists of both artificial tunnels and chambers, and underground rivers and passages that have been mapped using radar penetrating the ground since 1978, we will tell you sometime in another time. See you on our channel.

    Precursors of the pyramids

    Late pyramids

With the end of the V dynasty, the construction of the pyramids by the Egyptian pharaohs did not stop. The pyramids of the pharaohs of the 5th-6th dynasties have preserved for us the oldest set of funerary texts known as (Pyramid Texts). The pyramids were also built by the pharaohs of the I transitional period (for example, Merikara) and the rulers of the XII dynasty (the most famous belongs to Amenemhat III).

Later, the tradition of building pyramids was adopted by the rulers of the Meroitic kingdom.

So, until the time of King Rampsinite, the priests said further, with good laws, Egypt achieved great prosperity. However, his successor Cheops plunged the country into the abyss of disasters. First of all, he ordered the closure of all the sanctuaries and forbade the performance of sacrifices. Then he made all the Egyptians work for him. So, some were obliged to drag huge blocks of stones from quarries in the Arabian Mountains to the Nile (stones were transported across the river by ships), while others were ordered to drag further to the so-called Libyan mountains. One hundred thousand people performed this work continuously, changing every three months. It took the exhausted people ten years to build the road along which these boulders were dragged, the work, in my opinion, is almost as enormous as the construction of the pyramid itself. After all, the road was 5 stadia long, and 10 orgies wide, in the highest place there were 8 orgies in height, built of hewn stones with figures carved on them. The construction of this road and underground chambers on the hill where the pyramids are located continued for ten years. In these chambers, Cheops built his tomb on the island, leading the Nile canal to the mountain. The construction of the pyramid itself lasted 20 years. It is four-sided, each side is 8

Pyramids of ancient egypt for more than one millennium they have been admiring, surprising, stirring up the imagination. Heated controversy continues about when the ancient pyramids were built in Egypt, who built them, and why they were built. Each disputing party has its own compelling arguments. This article provides a largely controversial official point of view on these issues.

History of the pyramids of Egypt

The history of the pyramids of Egypt from the construction of the first pyramid of Ancient Egypt - the step pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser. It was built in Saqqara in about 2,600 BC. This was the Pharaoh of the third dynasty.

Before him, the tombs of the pharaohs were built from dried bricks. Subsequently, they received the name - mastaba. Such a mastaba was also built for Djoser.

But the pharaoh did not use this tomb, and together with his talented architect Imhotep undertook a grandiose construction of a mastaba in Sakkara, which is now called the pyramid of Djoser or "step pyramid". Above this lower mastaba, five more mastabas were built, each smaller in size. The construction took place in six stages, according to the number of steps. As a result of superstructures, the base of the pyramid has reached dimensions of 125x115 meters, and its height is 61 meters (the height of a modern twenty-storey building).

Here for the first time as building material not burnt brick was used, but stone. The Pyramid of Djoser is considered the world's first stone architectural structure.

Undoubtedly, these small pyramids that adorned the upper part of the tomb were associated with the cult of the sun god. On the eastern slope of the pyramid, a small niche was arranged, in which there was a cult statue of the inhabitant of the tomb. She looks away rising sun... Above the burial chamber, carved into the rock, there was a small courtyard. It was surrounded by a stone wall. In its western part, a small chapel was built in the form of a terrace with columns. Above all this towered a small pyramid with a base of 3X3 m, a height of 4 m. The angle of inclination to the plane of the horizon was much more vertical than that of the huge pyramids of the Ancient and Middle Kingdom, it reached 68 °.

The pyramids were revived in the VIII-VII centuries BC. e., but no longer in Egypt, but on the territory of the Nubian kingdom of Napata and in the IV century BC. e. in Meroe. None of these pyramids had a base length of more than 12-13 m and a height of more than 15-16 m. The angle of inclination of the faces was equal to 68 °, as on the graves of Theban masters. They were built mainly of stone, only the latest ones were built of bricks.
