What do the anomalous zones of the world hide? Bad places of our planet 7 most bad places on earth.

Visiting some places on Earth is more exciting than extreme sports or gambling. Most of all, people are afraid of what they cannot understand and touch with their hands. In our rating there are several corners of the planet, visiting which, one can be convinced once again - not everything in the world has a rational explanation.

7th place. Winchester House (California).

A huge estate in San Jose, where a crazy widow and a whole family of ghosts lived. It all started when Sarah Winchester lost her husband and inherited his multimillion-dollar fortune. Later, the spirit of the deceased appeared to her, who announced the sad news: money was earned on human bones, all Winchesters are cursed, and the ghosts will take revenge. You can make peace with them only by starting to build a house. Desirable without stopping. Because if the hammering dies down, the woman will die. And she began to build.

Currently, the house has about 160 rooms, 13 bathrooms, 6 kitchens, 40 stairs. The rooms have 2,000 doors, 450 doorways, about 10,000 windows (stained glass windows have survived to this day), 47 fireplaces and one shower. The house grew by leaps and bounds, construction did not stop for more than a day, and as a result lasted for 38 years! Today they take people to this grandiose mansion tourist excursions... You cannot fight off the group - otherwise you will instantly get lost in the labyrinths of creepy rooms. Where ghosts are said to still await their victims. To feel the atmosphere of this building, it is worth watching the film "The Haunting of the Winchester House" (2009, directed by Mark Atkins).

6th place. Jatinga (India).

The village of Jatinga in the mountains of the Indian state of Assam has long been nicknamed the "bird graveyard". Every August, large flocks of birds appear in the sky over the local valley and fall to the ground screaming. Mass suicide lasts several days in a row, some of the birds die, while the rest, as if under the influence of hypnosis, easily allow themselves to pull themselves together. The peasants call this eerie phenomenon "the nights of falling birds" and specially gather in the evenings by the fires to gaze at the almost incessant birdfall. Indians consider this to be a gift from God.

Bird watchers have been studying the Jatinga phenomenon for many years. According to one of the versions, geophysical anomalies that knock migratory birds off course are to blame. Another idea is that the birds are caught in powerful wind currents, lose strength, and are carried away towards the village. Noticing the kindled fires, the birds rush into the light and, not calculating the distance, die.

5th place. Aokigahara forest (Japan).

This place at the foot of Mount Fuji is a place of pilgrimage for lovers of mysticism and thrills. The fact is that this forest is a place of suicide. Since the 1950s, more than five hundred people have taken their own lives in the wilderness. In terms of the number of suicides, only the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco is ahead of Aokigahara. Instead of signs "Do not throw rubbish!" in the forest there are advertisements asking to think about family and friends. Psychological services telephone numbers are written everywhere. Video surveillance is being conducted. But people (most often they are clerks in business suits, tortured by office life) continue to die regularly: from time to time peaceful tourists stumble upon the bodies of the dead in the forest or “murder weapons” in the form of pills and rope loops.

The total forest area is approximately 35 sq. Km. The relief includes many rocky caves, and the features of the location, in particular the density of the forest and lowland, provide a "deafening" silence. It is also claimed that there are vast deposits of iron ore underground in the forest area, this apparently explains the fact that compasses do not work in Aokigahara and electronic equipment malfunctions. Legends about this place have been known to the Japanese since the Middle Ages, and in the 19th century, poor Japanese families brought and left their old men and children in this forest for certain death, whom they could not feed.

4th place. Poveglia Island (Italy).

A tiny island near Venice is surrounded by a thick fog of horror stories. For several decades of the XIV century, during the "Black Death" raging in the world, people infected with the plague were brought here - hopelessly sick people who had no chance of surviving. Here, on the island, a "mass grave" was built, in which thousands of bodies were buried. There is a version that the corpses were not buried, but burned, which is why the soil on Poveglia is 50% human ash. However, this is only the beginning of the horror film. In 1922, a psychiatric hospital was housed on the island.

Almost all of her patients soon began to suffer from nightmarish headaches and complain that the clinic is literally packed with ghosts. But this only played into the hands of the chief physician, who stuffed the mentally ill with neuroleptics and experimented with them. The island still has a dilapidated clinic building with barred windows, beds and fragments of medical equipment. There is also a bell tower (now it serves as a lighthouse), from which, according to legend, the crazy doctor threw himself off in the finale of the story.

3rd place. Dead End Mary King (Edinburgh, Scotland).

400 years ago, Mary King (that was the name of the owner of most of the houses here) was one of the busiest places in Edinburgh. The situation changed when a plague epidemic came to the city. There is a legend that in an effort to prevent the spread of the disease, the authorities isolated all infected in one area, after which they surrounded the dangerous area with a blank wall. People were driven to a dead end by Mary King during several epidemics, and they died without any outside help. Among these unfortunate people was little Annie - a little girl who was excommunicated from her parents and locked in the "city of the dead" because she was infected. It is known for certain that only part of this legend is fiction. In fact, there was no wall, although there was a quarantine for the infected, whom the doctor visited.

Today, the underground quarters of Edinburgh (over which the New City was built long ago) have turned into tourist attraction... Why didn't they stop being creepy. It is better not to enter the stone labyrinths without a guide, and new batteries should be inserted into the lantern - there is nothing to do in the dungeon without light. There are stories that Mary King's dead end is teeming with the ghosts of dead people, and some "lucky ones" are grabbed by the ghost of little Annie by the knees.

2nd place. Babi Yar (Kiev, Ukraine).

Babi Yar-tract in the north-western part of Kiev, between the districts of Lukyanovka and Syrets. Babi Yar gained worldwide fame as a place of mass executions of civilians, mainly Jews, Gypsies, as well as Soviet prisoners of war, carried out by the German occupation forces in 1941. In total, according to various sources, from 33 thousand to 100 thousand people were shot.

First mentioned under modern name in 1401, when the hostess of the tavern (Ukrainian "baba"), who was here, sold these lands to the Dominican monastery. In the XV-XVIII centuries. the names "Shalena Baba" and "Bisova Baba" were also encountered. It is doubly scary that in this place two negative layers converge - the old cemetery and the place of massacres. The earth, soaked in the blood of innocent victims, still exudes fragments of bones from itself, so it is not surprising that the inhabitants of the surrounding houses constantly dream of nightmares, and in reality they often meet disembodied whitish shadows.

1st place. Auschwitz concentration camp.

The word Auschwitz in the minds of many people is a symbol or even the quintessence of evil, horror, death, the concentration of the most unthinkable inhuman fanaticism and torture. About 1,300,000 people were killed in the Auschwitz concentration camp in 1941-1945, located 60 km west of the Polish city of Krakow. On the territory of the camp in 1947, a museum was created, which is included in the list World heritage UNESCO. Of course, there are still a number of terrible "death factories" in the world, but this one, according to the testimony of visitors, leaves the most depressing impression.

A rating of unexplained or poorly explained natural black spots on the planet that exist in the world in various forms and are constantly noted for their negative effects. There are a lot of them. Many do not believe in them, but they still exist and do not stop doing their job.

It is understandable that it is rather difficult to be as precise as possible in compiling this rating. I was guided by the fame and the degree of the manifested danger of the lost places. It may well be that the most dangerous places never made it to the rating ... It's easy to assume that no one has yet been able to tell about the place where everyone perishes ...

Moreover, it is not always easy to understand exactly which place can be considered as bad. The rating is compiled according to the principle of the constancy of the death of victims in one place or another and the degree of their unusualness.

1. Antarctica

Perhaps there is no other place on Earth that would take so few lives and people would consider unconditionally the most disastrous of all possible. Moreover, this is the most ambitious. If they can often be limited to areas up to 1 km in diameter, then the area of the southernmost continent is more than 14 million square meters. km. No one would like to be accidentally thrown in this terrible cold, because death will overtake an unprepared person literally in a matter of hours, even if you are dressed as warmly as possible.

Let's highlight several reasons why Antarctica is the most disastrous place on Earth. First, it is the coldest. At the Vostok station, an absolute record of the cold on Earth was recorded: -89.2 ° C. Second, in the center of the continent there are no life support conditions at all. There is absolutely no vegetation or food there. Thirdly, if something happens, it is unlikely that anyone will help you. In winter, in the entire vast area of Antarctica, there are no more than 1000 people who huddle in several stations. Fourthly, this is the most remote part of the land. The closest to it are countries cut off from humanity such as Argentina, Australia and New Zealand. Additional difficulties are created by the katabatic winds, which continuously blow from all slopes.

Surprisingly, Antarctica is becoming an increasingly scary place to live every year. Unlike the rest of the world, which is beating in the hysteria of global warming, in the very south of the planet it gets colder by 0.7 ° C every 10 years. This is tremendous speed. One of the consequences of global warming is the melting of ice in Antarctica, which contains more than 90% of all ice on land, but it does not seem to threaten us.

2. "Golden Gate"

One of the most famous lost places is the famous bridge in San Francisco. Golden gate... Although the creation of this miracle is the work of exclusively human hands, the reasons for its fatality lie in a completely different plane, therefore the bridge must be attributed to natural pathogenic zones. If the bridge "by itself" killed people, it would be an artificial reason. When people themselves are "attracted" to him so that, this is a completely different story.

The mechanisms of suicide lie in deep motives inherent not only to humans, contrary to popular belief, but also to many other animals. Therefore, the bridge is only an attractive point due to its "convenience" for settling accounts with life. Since its construction in 1937, the number of sad stories is already approaching 1,500. We can confidently say that as long as the Golden Gate exists, it will always be one of the most extravagant and obvious lost places.

3. Lake Nyos

Along with the possibility of drowning, the water can bring many other surprises, the most significant of which occurred on August 21, 1986, when carbon dioxide from the bottom of Lake Nyos, Cameroon, killed almost 2,000 people. It has already been established that the volcano is to blame for everything, near which this lake is located. It is he who enriches his waters with carbon dioxide in huge volumes every day.

But understanding the situation is unlikely to help people get rid of this black place. Of course, now they are trying not to settle on its outskirts, but at any moment a casual onlooker can suddenly die. Moreover, due to the too great remoteness of the area from civilization, we can only imagine what sacrifices were collected by Lake Nyos over the previous millennia.

Scientists estimate that an abrupt eruption of a large volume of deadly gas from the bottom occurs every few hundred years. The detonator is earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. But very often local emissions occur. It is safe to assume that Lake Nyos is one of the most disastrous places on the planet. It is gratifying that we know why this is happening. There are two more similar lakes in the world, in which there is a large supply of CO 2, but in modern history they have not yet shown their frightening ability in full force.

4. Death Valley (USA)

Officially considered one of the most disastrous places on the planet. This desert is located near the American play center Las Vegas (California). Meteorologists identified the desert as the hottest place on our planet a long time ago, since you don't need to have any special instruments for this.

Sand in Death Valley ( Death valley) heats up to almost 100 ° C, and the air temperature often exceeds 50 degrees. But this part of the Mojave Desert received its eerie name only in 1849. Then several dozen gold diggers died in it, who ran out of water and could not find it. In total, thousands of people died in the desert. Once in the Valley of Death, any unprepared person will not survive even two days, leaving for another world due to the intense heat and lack of moisture.

In addition to the terrible heat in the desert, there are other disastrous attractions. For example, this is the abandoned town of Rhyolight, which used to be home to about 15,000 miners and gold prospectors. Now this is supposedly full of ghosts.

5. Bermuda Triangle

The most tragic of the dead places on the planet. Perhaps there is no more famous anomaly than the famous "" located between the tip of Florida, Bermuda and Puerto Rico. One of the first to mention the bloodthirstiness of this water area in 1950 was the American journalist E. Jones in his brochure Bermuda triangle, in which he also entered the name of this place. However, the hysteria about a strange place even earlier (1946) was raised by V. Gaddis, who wrote a long article entitled "The Deadly Bermuda Triangle." And from that time on, everything began to develop, gradually fading away only with the onset of the 21st century. In total, about a hundred books have been published about this phenomenon in all countries of the world. The most famous ones belong to authors C. Berlitz and L. Kusche, who created real bestsellers in the 1970s.

More than 100 large ships and aircraft are believed to have crashed in the triangle. More than 1000 people died under unclear circumstances and many more under certain circumstances. The most famous of the many cases: the loss of the dry cargo ship "Cyclops" and with it 309 people on board on March 4, 1918; the discovery of the empty ghost ship La Dahama in 1935; the disappearance of five bombers at once on December 5, 1945; the disappearance of the Sandra in June 1950; the appearance of the ghost yacht "Connerman-4" in 1955; the loss of the cargo ship Marine Salfer Queen on February 4, 1963; the disappearance of the S-119 aircraft on June 6, 1965; the loss of the Scorpion nuclear submarine in May 1968

Naturally, no one can accurately determine the reasons for the mass and regular death in that place. There are the most paradoxical and daring theories. Some of them are noteworthy, but some are closer to those science fiction films that were dedicated to an abnormal place. Here are the main hypotheses: sudden storms, wandering huge waves, the release of methane and foaming of water, the generation of unusual radiation by water, and Atlanteans, holes in time and space.

But it should be noted that supposedly increased risks the Bermuda Triangle is actually a fiction. The fact is that statistics unequivocally say: ships and planes crash in this place no more often than in others. The increased number of disasters can be explained by the high activity of communication routes between the islands, as evidenced by the American coast guard. It is in this area that many sea and airways used by thousands of people every day, and nothing happens to them.

6. Cape of Tempests ( Good Hope)

Among sailors, the Cape of Good Hope, located at the southernmost tip of Africa, is definitely considered the most disastrous place. It is absolutely not for nothing that it was originally called the Cape of Storms. It was discovered by the Portuguese navigator Bartolomeu Dias in 1488, when he was the first to go around the African continent. It was he who christened this windy and restless place. A few years later, in 1500, Diash died near the cape, as if justifying the name he had invented. Over time, the cape was renamed - the new name expressed the hope of sailors for the earliest possible reaching the shores of India.

At one time, they wanted to officially call this place "damned", "disastrous" or "deadly". Even ancient travelers laid down a large number of hard-hitting legends and stories about the cape, in which it claimed many lives, and with them countless ships. At the same time, the situation has changed little during the era of European colonization wars. The ships continued to die. The sailors experienced a real superstitious horror of this cape and tried to stay as far away from it as possible, which was not always possible, especially at night, due to some peculiarities of the place.

Why does the Cape of Good Hope carry destruction? Everything is very simple. In fact, there are two oceans touching: the Indian and the Atlantic. In a relatively narrow strait, a variety of underwater currents and air currents intersect, which every now and then strive to overturn an unstable ship or throw it on the rocks, which are abundant here.

7. Devil's cemetery (Devil's Polyana)

One of the most dangerous and disastrous places on the planet. Unlike many other cases, the nature of these incidents has not been determined to this day. This glade is located near the Angara River, not far from the confluence of the Kova tributary in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The Devil's Cemetery gained notoriety somewhere in the middle of the 20th century. But the first cases date back to 1908, when it happened not far.

Most of the noise was caused by an article in 1983 in the popular magazine "Technics for Youth" (1983, No. 8), after which several expeditions were sent to the place of the supposed location of the Devil's Cemetery. According to unconfirmed reports, more than 50 researchers of this phenomenon died here in total. Many of the deaths were unexplained, and in some cases, the troops simply went missing. If we add to this data the deaths among the local population, who discovered the dead meadow, it turns out that it brought a lot of grief. In particular, livestock suffered, which, accidentally entering this place, soon died.

According to the stories of those who visited the Devil's Cemetery and were able to survive, it is a wasteland in a forest with a diameter of about 200 meters. Lifeless trees are all around. There is almost no vegetation. The entire surrounding area is strewn with animal corpses. Being in the vicinity, everyone, without exception, begins to feel unwell and headache. The compass is completely lost. The devices show the strongest electromagnetic radiation. But this lost place has not been found for a very long time by new expeditions, which nevertheless regularly go in search. There is no new and verified information.

There are many versions about the lethality of the Devil's Cemetery. For example, carbon monoxide from constant fires in the taiga can accumulate in a clearing. But it is very difficult to believe in this, since then there would be a lot of similar places on our planet. It is believed that there are pronounced geopathogenic anomalies, which are manifested in strong fluctuations in the magnetic field, and living creatures cannot withstand them.

Since the "cemetery" is located about 400-500 km from the supposed place of the fall of the Tunguska meteorite, naturally, most of the theories regarding unexplained tragic events are associated with this celestial body. They even say that at that very moment a bottomless hole formed in the Devil's Cemetery, which was gradually filled with soil and carcasses of wild animals. In this regard, there are theories linking the death of animals with some gases from a space object or coming from deep layers of the bowels, thanks to a broken crack. There is even an assumption that bacteria that could fly to us from space have a fatal effect on living organisms on earth ...

8. Lake Whitney

The name of this seemingly unremarkable lake in the north of Texas (USA) began to flicker in the American press in the second half of the 20th century. In the beginning, these were regular UFO sightings in its vicinity. Then a series of mysterious phenomena arose, which gave the lake the right to bear the title of the most blackest place in America. In general, no particularly bloody events took place there. People were alarmed by the fact that cars are constantly being found in the muddy waters of Whitney, in which there are no remains of their owners. No one can figure out exactly how these cars end up in the water. Sometimes they spontaneously roll there, even if they are in the distance and are on the hand brake. Ufologists believe that aliens are to blame for this, as evidence of which there are allegedly clear UFO landing sites. However, it should be noted that the whole mystique of the area is rather controversial.

9. Lovozero tundra

One of the most disastrous places on the territory of modern Russia. it mountain range on the Kola Peninsula between the large lakes Umb and Lov. The Sacred Lake is located in the very center of the Lovozero tundra. Since ancient times, this remote place was considered unkind and was shunned. It is believed that it all began with a certain monster - the giant Kuiva, who lived in this region many centuries ago and only the gods worshiped by the pagans could defeat him. Over time, inexplicable fear has been inherited by modern generations.

It can be argued that local peoples experienced a kind of hysteria in this regard. Hunters and reindeer herders continued to beware of a certain creature and tried to bypass the tundra. Already in Soviet times, a number of attempts were made to debunk superstitions. In the beginning, this was done by journalists. Then there was an expedition in 1921 led by Professor A. Barchenko. The scientist became interested in mass psychoses, studying this phenomenon, but little is known about the results of his work - 17 years later, he was shot along with other members of the expedition as a "pest". In the 50s, XX century, despite local superstitions, tourists and climbers began to travel along the tundra. From that time on, the mass death of people began.

According to official data, several dozen people have disappeared in the valley. But there is evidence that this number is actually approaching a hundred. As for the theories about the causes of death, there are four of them: yeti, hallucinogenic gas, extraterrestrial organisms and heat energy. The Yeti theory fits perfectly into the fears of the local population, which persistently speaks of some huge hairy monster. Gas, on the other hand, may well be released from the bowels or a lake and cause unexplained visions. Extraterrestrial organisms could be transported to this area by means of meteorites, which are often found here. Perhaps they could have influenced the local nature and humans. As for thermal energy, there are a number of versions that imply the presence of incomprehensible radiation here. They say that A. Barchenko's expedition was secretly engaged in its search, and not in the study of mass psychoses.

10. Valley of Death (Russia)

One of the most famous in Russia. Here there are massive deaths of animals. There is no information about human casualties. The valley is located in Kamchatka near the Geysernaya River near the active volcano Kikhpinych. The danger zone was discovered by the first third of the XX century by hunters who accidentally wandered into it. It stretches for 1.5–2 km and is about 0.5 km wide. This entire area is dotted with the skeletons of animals and birds of all kinds and sizes.

Everyone who once visited there soon noted a sharp deterioration in health and an exacerbation of chronic diseases. The mystics immediately associated this phenomenon with "black energy" and the like, which supposedly take the life-giving force from organisms. Ufologists consider the Valley of Death, through which UFOs travel, during which all living beings die.

But scientific opinion is more prosaic. Initially, it was believed that the large emissions of carbon dioxide from the Kikhpinych volcano were to blame. However, later it became known that the gases emitted by it contain highly toxic cyanide compounds that are capable of causing instant death.

Since ancient times, people have been trying to conquer space. A lot of forces are thrown into the search for extraterrestrial life. But at the same time, we do not even suspect what is happening on our own planet. There are separate areas of land and water, on the territory of which it would be better never to look. At first glance, this area is not unremarkable. But this is only at first glance. Mysterious forces operate in these places, atmospheric or oceanic vortices are raging. And one of the most mysterious areas of the planet, on whose conscience there are more than one thousand ruined lives, is called the Devil's Belt.

The Devil's Belt really bends around the Earth like a belt along 30 degrees north latitude and consists of five anomalous areas: the Bermuda Triangle, the Devil's Sea, the Gibraltar Wedge, the Afghan Anomaly, and the Hawaiian Anomaly. These sections are equidistant from each other and the distance between them is exactly 72 degrees. And if you ever take a trip to these places, here's what you might encounter there.

The Bermuda Triangle is an area of the Atlantic Ocean, this place is known for the fact that something supernatural and inexplicable is happening within its boundaries. Everything that falls within the radius of attention of this devilish hole simply disappears. Christopher Columbus was the first known traveler to cross the Atlantic region that we now call the Bermuda Triangle. His logbook contains a description of the sea, completely filled with algae, a story about the unusual behavior of the compass needle, about the sudden flames and the strange glow of the sea. Also, here you can encounter powerful ultrasonic vibrations that occur on the ocean floor, which can affect the crew members, causing panic, and of course moving through holes in time or faults in space. And the story will not be complete if not to mention the wandering waves, when nothing seems to portend danger and suddenly waves three to five meters high suddenly turn into twenty-five meter monsters, capable of sinking a large ship in an instant.

Now let's move to the eastern hemisphere of our planet. In the Pacific Ocean, not far from the shores of Japan, there is an area that, in terms of the inexplicable, is not inferior to the Bermuda Triangle - the Devil's Sea. Why such a name, the mere presence of the devil in the Sea creates a depression. Even in ancient times, the indigenous people believed that it was in this place in the depths of the sea that various monsters, demons and giant toothy fish live. Fishermen claim that whales and dolphins have never been seen in these waters. And the most common phenomenon here is dead swell with gentle waves reaching a height of 15-20 meters. A characteristic sign of a scary place is a change in the color of the water, in the morning it can have a reddish tint, and already at lunchtime it can become dark brown. An unknowing person can be frightened by the boiling of water over a large area. The surface of the ocean is covered with white foam, the effect is accompanied by a sound reminiscent of the boiling of a kettle, only much louder, it is gases escaping from the ocean depths to the surface. Once in the epicenter of such an outburst, the ship is able to go to the bottom in an elementary way. The density of gases is many times less than the density of seawater, and a multi-ton ship simply sinks to a depth of many kilometers, losing its buoyancy. And this can happen instantly, which is why many ships caught in the Sea of the Devil never return to their native shores.

The next devilish place is called the Gibraltar Wedge and it is located in Algeria and has long been notorious. On the vast expanses of the desert, from time to time, suddenly there is a strange - a chilling whistle of an incomprehensible origin. It is heard simultaneously from all directions, so it is impossible to determine its source, the rustle gradually increases, developing into a shrill loud whistle. This whistle first causes a feeling of not clear alarm, then the anxiety intensifies and after a while the person is seized by animal horror, forcing him to rush in panic, not making out his way, just to escape from this terrible sound. The fatal whistle can last for hours, driving people and animals crazy, and then stops as suddenly as it began.

The Afghan anomaly is the least studied and therefore the most mysterious of the zones. This place is famous for the frequent appearance of UFOs. They appear before the eyes of people in the form of bright red balls, silver plates and discs. They do not behave aggressively, but their very appearance introduces eyewitnesses into a state of stupor. Sometimes, however, there are cases with a fatal outcome, coming close to an incomprehensible phenomenon, a person can simply be turned into ash.

The Hawaiian Anomaly is the last fifth zone in the Devil's Belt. The unique feature of this place is the killer waves. This is how huge waves are called, reaching 45-50 meters in height and 1000 meters in length. Their key feature is that they move along the surface of the ocean in an arbitrary direction, regardless of the wind and current. The wandering wave has an enormous mass. The surface on which it falls is under tremendous pressure. Even the most powerful ship, colliding with such a bulk, can sink in just a few minutes. The process of birth of killer waves is not exactly known, but it is reliably known that they have nothing to do with the tsunami phenomenon resulting from a sharp shift in the seabed.

Anomalous zones of the world are mysterious and frightening, black places of the planet that terrify and attract attention. What are these places and where are they located - read all about this in our article.

In the article:

Abnormal zones of the world

Earlier we already wrote about, but now we want to talk about anomalous places in other parts of our planet, where desperate travelers strive to get every year. Local residents and experienced tourists assure that visiting many of these areas is extremely dangerous for humans. However, the danger does not deter many travelers.

Devil's Tower in Wyoming

In one of American states there is a rather unusual mountain, which is a collection of stone statues, which was named "Devil's Tower". According to experts, it was formed about 200 million years ago. Surprisingly, the tower is of natural origin.

In terms of its dimensions, the structure is two and a half times higher famous pyramid Cheops. There are several stories when rock climbers tried to conquer the top of the mountain, but only Jake Durance succeeded. Often, the Devil's Tower kept tourists imprisoned for more than one day. Therefore, climbing it is extremely dangerous.

White gods

A small town in the northeast of the Moscow region, it is notorious. This place is the White Gods. In the thicket of the forest, at the edge, there is an absolutely correct hemisphere of stone 3 meters high and 6 meters in diameter.

Legend has it that pagans made sacrifices here in the twelfth century. This suggests that the "white gods" are places of power, since our ancestors never built their altars anywhere.

Hatteras

Cape Hatteras is an amazing area in the Atlantic. Some also call it the "Southern Cemetery". Storms, hurricanes and rashes are all too common here. Shipping here is unsafe and even fatal. Witnesses assure that even during an 8-point storm, waves here rise up to 15 meters in height. Also, only in this area there is an amazing sight.

During a storm, waves collide with each other, and shells, sand and sea foam are thrown up more than 30 meters. Anyone who saw this picture will be very lucky if he can get out alive. It is believed that death will follow on the heels of such a person, since the cape has already wanted to take his soul.

Czech catacombs

This anomalous zone was created by human hands and is located in the city of Jihlav. The catacombs were created in the Middle Ages. They often saw a ghost there, heard the sounds of an organ. Archaeologists tried their best to explain such a phenomenon, in 1996 an investigation of the catacombs was carried out.

Scientists have indeed recorded a sound that resembles an organ, but the catacombs are located at a depth of 10 meters, and there is not a single building around where the organ could be located. In one of the secret tunnels there is also a kind of luminous staircase. Researchers have found that there is no phosphorus in the material from which it is made, but the steps do glow with a strange red light.

Molebsky Triangle

On the coast of Sylva, between the Sverdlovsk and Perm regions, there is abnormal place... It was opened in the winter of 1983. Researcher Bachurin distinguished a shining hemisphere between the trees. This was the first anomaly to occur at this location. After that, tourists saw here strange dark figures, luminous spheres, various bodies of unknown origin.

The strange thing was that the objects lined up in geometric shapes and disappeared as soon as people approached with him. A research expedition was carried out in 1999, scientists have heard strange sounds of incomprehensible figures more than once, however, science has failed to explain the reason for what is happening.

Chavinda

This anomalous zone is located in Mexico. According to the locals, the intersection of the worlds is located here. The story that took place in the nineties of the 20th century made Chavindu famous.

It was a bright night, treasure hunters gathered around the fire, but suddenly they heard that a rider was approaching them. The man explained to the Mexicans that he was at the top of the hill, saw them and rode up in just 5 minutes. It was clear to anyone that this was physically unrealistic.

The men ran away in fear, leaving all their belongings behind. When the Mexicans came to their senses, they returned to the camp site and saw strange things. Their cars began to break down and in a day they could no longer be repaired.

It was still possible to drive one car onto the road, however, it seemed to become invisible to others. It is said that the strange things stopped as soon as the Mexicans abandoned the excavation of the treasure they were looking for at the site.

Abnormal zones of Kazakhstan

Every traveler looking for interesting routes and adventures cannot be ignored by Kazakhstan. There are more than several dozen amazing zones here, old-timers constantly talk about unexplained phenomena and contacts with unidentified flying objects.

Akyrtas settlement

This place is rightfully called the Kazakhstani Bermuda Triangle. It is located in the Zhambyl region. There are many legends about how this place appeared. The most widespread is the story of the construction of the Settlement by the Huns. Today, the anomalous zone looks like stone ruins the size of a football field.

It is here that people most often see UFOs and even come into contact with an unidentified one. According to many travelers, it is enough for a person to touch the stones of the settlement in order to fully regain their strength. The plan of Akyrtas is an absolutely regular rectangle, which is larger than the ancient Roman Colosseum. In turn, the volume of the building is equal to the Egyptian pyramids.

The Dead Sea

In Taldykurgan region there is a terrible and mysterious dead lake... Many legends are associated with him. Surprisingly, in hot weather, the water in the lake is simply icy.

The reservoir lacks any flora and fauna, which frightens the local population and attracts travelers. Tourists often die in the reservoir, but corpses never appear on the surface. Local residents claim that they saw the bodies of people standing straight at the bottom.

Ustyur plateau

This plateau is an ideal place for those who dream of meeting alien life forms. It is located between the northern part of the Caspian and the Aral Sea. It was there that eyewitnesses more than once saw strange rays of light, translucent glowing balls. However, modern science cannot explain the appearance of these phenomena.

Lake Kok-kol

In the Dzhambul region there is mysterious lake Kok-kol. An ancient legend says that the body of water has no bottom. Also, old-timers believe that the lake spirit of Aydahar lives in the lake.

Local historian A. Pechersky insists that a strange creature, which he himself saw, lives in the lake. From the description it becomes clear that this is a huge snake about 20 meters long. The monster emits a drawn-out roar, similar to a whistle.

The most disastrous places on the planet

Which zones on the planet can be called the most disastrous? Of course these are the valleys of death and damn cemeteries. There are more than 10 of them around the globe and each of them has its own riddle. Such gorges of death, hills of the dead and swamps of the devil still attract curious tourists. However, it is worth realizing that it is very dangerous for an unprepared traveler to appear there.

Holat Syakhyl

This mountain of the dead is located in the Northern Urals. This one really lives up to its name. Locals are still frightened by the incident that happened in the local area on February 2, 1959.

On that day, travelers from the Ural Polytechnic Institute set up a small camp in the ill-fated place. It is worth noting that these were experienced travelers, so the strange place did not scare them. Less than a week later, all members of the expedition were found dead.

No one still knows what happened to them. They tried to explain the death of 9 people with different versions. Some insisted that it was a virus, others assured that ball lightning had flown into the camp, 3 assumed that the tourists had entered the area where secret studies of vacuum weapons were carried out.

All the victims had a red skin color, profuse internal injuries and bleeding. However, none of the theories have become official facts.

Damn cemetery

Near the Kova River there is the famous Devil's Cemetery, which has been bypassed by all local residents for a long time. Experienced travelers believe that this place is alive, so you can only disturb it if there really is a good reason why you need to cut the road and go through this area.

Experienced hunters assure that you cannot go to the Devil's Cemetery, if you stand on a burnt meadow, then death will overtake you. The terrifying thing is that the entire meadow with a diameter of about 200-250 meters is absolutely deserted.

In some places you can see the bones of small animals and even birds. All branches of plants surrounding the area are charred. Dogs that run into the damn place soon stop eating, become lethargic and die. Scientists still cannot find the reason for this phenomenon.

However, some believe that this is due to the fact that 400 kilometers to the north begins the area where in 1908 all living things were destroyed by the Tunguska meteorite. Probably, some of this energy was transferred to this place, turning it into the Devil's cemetery.

Yakut Valley of Death

Scientists have also been unable to find an explanation for the incidents that happen in the Yakut valley of death for many years. For many centuries, locals have been passing on from generation to generation a terrible story about the damned city of the devil, which is located underground.

Locals claim that no one returns from those places alive. One of the myths also says that once every 100 years, a column of fire erupts from the ground, which burns out everything around.

Scientists in this area have discovered various hemispheres made of metal (diameter - 10 meters). According to myths, if a traveler spent the night at such a cauldron, then he will certainly die. Today we can say that such a death is possible from severe radioactive damage, however, geologists do not confirm the presence of such powerful radiation in this area.

There is also a legend that says that somewhere in the middle of the valley of death there is a large arch made of the same metal from which the boilers are made.

Only local residents saw her. Legend has it that the arch protrudes 4 meters from the ground, and next to it there is a bunker where black people in iron suits rest.

It is worth noting that the study of boilers is almost impossible, since even when they find themselves near 1 small object, people begin to lose all vitality, feel dizzy, lose hair and become covered with a strange rash.

Death Valley in Sichuan

One of the Chinese provinces also has its own Death Valley. In 1950, more than 100 people died there and the plane exploded under unknown circumstances. 12 years later, approximately the same number of people died in this valley again.

Only 1 tourist survived, after the incident he said that a dense fog began to envelop him in the valley of death. And when the air became transparent again, there was no one around.

Scientists are trying to explain the horrors taking place in the valley of death and assure that the saturated fumes of decaying plants are to blame. However, other researchers believe that this is a false assumption, since such a phenomenon is due to the strong magnetic field of this zone.

It is also impossible to use a compass in the valley of death, people often lose their memory and orientation. Rumor has it that travelers there are constantly circling in one place, cannot find the right path.

Strange, frightening, charming and alluring mysterious places on the planet are often dangerous for curious travelers. Therefore, if you have already ventured to visit an "exotic" place for rest, then remember what consequences such a trip may entail.

Aokigahara, Japan

Aokigahara, Japan

It is a dense forest at the foot of Fuji on the island of Honshu. The place is ominous: stony soil, tree roots are entwined with rocky debris, there is a "deafening" silence, compasses do not work. And although scientists (seemingly) have found explanations for all these phenomena, the Japanese believe that ghosts live in the forest - the souls of weak old people who were left there to die in times of famine. Racetrack Playa, USA

Racetrack Playa, USA

In Death Valley, California, there is a dried-up lake that would be commonplace if it weren't for a phenomenon that scientists have been racking their brains over for many years. 30-kilogram stones move along its clay bottom. Slowly, but without the help of sentient beings. The lumps leave long, shallow furrows behind them. Moreover, the trajectory of their movement is absolutely arbitrary. What is pushing the stones? Different versions were voiced: the specifics of the magnetic field, wind, seismic activity. None of the guesses received sufficient scientific justification.

Roraima Plateau, Brazil, Venezuela, Guyana

Roraima is a mountain on the border of three countries. Whale Alley, Russia

Whale Alley, Russia

The alley was opened in 1977, but its mysteries have not yet been solved. There is an assumption that in the XIV century this place was used by whalers for ritual meetings. Judging by the multitude of "meat pits", the gatherings were accompanied by feasts, and the holes in the tops of the whale "pillars" indicate that, perhaps, the whalers also arranged games, hanging prizes on bones. But in folklore there is no information about the purpose of the alley. But there is a legend about the battle of the "flying shamans" that took place there.

Scientists claim that this is how the surface of our planet looked like millions of years ago.
