Feedback and photos. The most beautiful beach in Nha Trang Doklet or Zoklet

Doklet beach (also called Zoklet) is, in my opinion, the most beautiful beach in the vicinity of Nha Trang. Moreover, it is one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Vietnam. If you want Bounty, clean calm sea and light sand - you have a direct way to Doklet!

If you have seen enough color postcards about holidays in the Maldives or Bora Bora and you want the same, only in budget Vietnam - I advise Doklet near Nha Trang. Photos will be up to par, and the rest itself will not disappoint.

I will not describe the beach itself for a long time. Here is a photo.

On the map, this is the QL1 track. Drive until the intersection with a large gas station in front of it and turn onto DT652B.

How to go to the Vietnamese beach Doklet (Zoklet) on a budget

We didn't take any tours, we went to the beach on a bike. The road is pretty decent, it was easy for even three of us to drive.
About 100 thousand dongs were spent on gasoline. For a bike for a day - $ 7.

The entrance to the beach was free. Now I will "burn the topic" of how to go to Doklet beach absolutely free and tasty and cheap to dine there with seafood and fruits.

When you follow the sign to Doklet beach, before reaching the toll entrance you will see an exit to the left. Here is a photo.

You go literally about a hundred meters and go straight to the sea. This is a Vietnamese beach for locals. You only need to pay for parking the bike - 5000 VND. And that's all. The sea is absolutely the same! You can go a little to the right and find yourself on the same paid Docklet. Nobody will check whether you paid or not. How can you check?

We stayed on a Vietnamese beach. In addition, opposite the parking lot there was a market with seafood and various trifles. Then we had lunch there.

The lunch on the market turned out to be light and very tasty. They took shells - 80 thousand per kilo, a portion of rice with meat and vegetables - 20 thousand dongs, one big delicious watermelon - 25 thousand and cane juice - 10 tons. For three, 135 thousand dongs came out - about 6.5 dollars.

Total for three independent trip to the Doklet beach, together with transport and lunch, it cost us $ 18.5 ($ 12 bike with gasoline, admission is free, lunch is $ 6.50).

My review: Oh, how we bought ourselves! The most beautiful sea, light waves, clean, transparent water without any turbidity, algae and debris - just an extraordinary place! I fell in love with this Vietnamese beach immediately and irrevocably.

And it was fun to watch the Vietnamese relax.

They bathe in the overwhelming majority of clothes. Moreover, they are not dressed in special closed bathing suits, like, for example, Egyptian women, but simply in what they have - in jeans, dresses, T-shirts, pants. But the most desperate swim. The rest in sweatshirts sit under the trees and gaze in horror at swimming in such cold. The sea water temperature in January was 23 degrees, and the air temperature was about 28. Many children walked barefoot in the water with their shoes on, but dressed in coats (!) And warm hats. Winter, tea.

documentary film

An educational project and documentary film about how modern visual culture emerged from 1918, the goal of which is to provide a systematic picture of the path that design has gone from the Bauhaus school to the Charmer studio.

We are in two thousand and eighteen. We have almost settled in smartphones and laptops, we love the combination of concrete and wood, minimalistic shapes and flowery patterns, we miss nature. Our sleek cars, our furniture seem to never recover from Scandinavian influences, and our posters never seem to recover from Dada influences. Our books are readable from the screen, and the design of paper books, in spite of everything, is becoming more sophisticated. How did we end up here with all these things? Who, when and how invented them? Where did our habits come from? We rewind a century ago and begin our journey from 1918 to 2018 to see what has happened to design over the last 100 years.

Our guides are people who work in design here and now: the most famous, productive, influential, interesting, progressive designers and design studios and bureaus in Russia. For the first time we are bringing together so many Russian designers - Yuri Gordon, Artemy Lebedev, Ilya Ruderman, Denis Bashev, Ilya Mikhailov, Shchuka, Charmer, Sullivan, Just be nice and others. 20 lecturers divided one hundred years into 20 five-year plans and chose a landmark object, a key event and a person who represent their period of time in terms of design. Lipstick in a roll-up tube and type "Helvetica", Favorsky and Le Corbusier, cyberpunk and Bauhaus are all part of our past, present and, apparently, future.

100 Years of Design is a project of the Bang Bang Education online design school supported by Yandex Publishing House, a program aimed at developing educational projects in the digital environment. The project is a free almanac course about the world history of design: 20 objects, 20 heroes and 20 dates, important for the history of design, from those who create it.

For those who have come to rest in Nha Trang and want to relax on the beach from a television picture with white sand and turquoise sea, the Doc Let beach can be recommended. Or, as the locals also call him, Zoklet. Beach-savvy tourists are not always happy with the beaches of Nha Trang. Someone doesn't like big waves, and others - an abundance of vacationers. Therefore, experts beach holiday rush to a heavenly place north of Nha Trang called Doklet. This is one of the best beaches in the neighborhood of Nha Trang. Little waves White sand and a gentle entrance. As a result, the water here is more warm water... Zoclet does it all great place for family vacation with kids. In this post we will talk about this wonderful holiday destination in Vietnam.

Zoklet beach stretches for 10 kilometers. True, the beach strip is only about ten meters wide. Nearby there is a settlement of fishermen and several hotels, which will be discussed below. There are also some decent food cafes and a market. Doklet beach is divided into two parts. One of them is intended for tourists who are brought here in an organized manner. And in the second half, the Vietnamese are resting.

The beach is separated from the rest of the land high dunes, with pine trees growing on them. The infrastructure near Doklet cannot be called developed, but it is quite suitable for a beach holiday during the day. Most often, tourists from Nha Trang come to Doklet in order to swim and wander around the area. Zoclet is compared to such famous resorts like Bora Bora, Maldives and others. At the same time, Doc Let has an undeniable advantage - there are very affordable prices.

Tourists do not call this place as soon as possible. Doklet and Zoklet, Dok Leth and Zok Leth. But it doesn't matter, if you want to get there, you can call any of these names. There will be no problems with understanding. By the way, how to get to the beach from Nha Trang?

How to get to Doklet beach from Nha Trang?

There are several options to get to Zoklet from Nha Trang:

  • Taxi;
  • sea boat;
  • bus;
  • rented bike or car.

As for taxis and boat trip to the Doklet beach, here the price is negotiable and there are no fixed prices. So, as you agree. From public transport bus number 3 goes there. The fare is about 25 thousand dongs. Drive about an hour. Tourists who took the bus there say they departed from a stop at 86 Tran Phu. This point is plotted on the map below. Several buses run on the route at intervals of 1-1.5 hours. They work from early morning until about six in the evening. It is better to leave the beach in advance, so as not to be late and not get stuck in Doklet.

Rest and prices

There is nothing remarkable in the area. Except, of course, the beach itself, the sea and nature. There are practically no people, the coast is deserted. Fine white sand and purest water... The wind is quite strong here, but the waves are small. The entrance to the sea is shallow and long. Due to this, the water warms up well. We can say that this beach is even better suited for children and not for adults.

In Doklet, part of the beach is paid, part is free, where Vietnamese rest. As tourists say in their reviews, those sites that belong to local hotels are paid. Apparently, this is where they bring organized groups tourists. There is a paid entrance to the beach, but before it there is a left turn, where there is a road to the beach for locals. There you need to pay 5 thousand dongs to park the bike. Here the beach is no different, it is also clean, the coast is also. In principle, you can go to the right and find yourself on a paid beach. Such a life hack is advised by some tourists who have visited the Zoklet beach.

There are several cafes near the beach where you can dine. But you can save money. There is a market not far from the parking lot where you can buy fruits, seafood and other products. So you can shop and have lunch on the beach. There are watermelons, fruit juice, crabs, shells, as well as all sorts of souvenirs.

Therefore, book your room in advance.

Little by little, hands are reaching the point of replenishing the November debts in Vietnam. Perhaps I'll start with the most straightforward topic - I'll tell you about Zoklet Nha Trang beach... In fact, in the original it is called DocLet beach, why I do not know why it is persistently called Zoklet. Possibly due to the soft Vietnamese pronunciation. And it is not located in Nha Trang itself, but is located about 50 kilometers north of it. Should I go there at all?

The place is fabulous in my opinion. However, our friends, for example, didn't really like it. But first things first.

Zoklet Nha Trang beach, how to get

The most burning question about Doklet beach is how and how to get there? Even at home, after reading the Internet, a wonderful way was discovered: on the popular city bus number 4 for about 20 dongs per person one way. How beautiful! However, already on the spot, it suddenly turned out quite unexpectedly that the famous four did not go there for a hundred years at lunchtime, and it is not clear whether they did. In the tourist offices of the "Russian information centre"Shook their heads, they say, this was not born! And so that we would not be upset, they offered an excursion from Nha Trang to Doklet beach, only for 490 dongs per person. Yes, the price included lunch, sun loungers and a visit to a Buddhist temple on the way there, but somehow we did not plan to pay nearly 1000 dongs for visiting the beach for two. Then we would be upset and score ... But no, this is not our method.

Sitting down to read the Internet more closely, we realized that the "mythical" bus from Nha Trang to Zoklet beach does exist in reality. Only already at number 3. And it seems like he walks along the route of the city four in Nha Trang, but there was no exact certainty, since the data from different sources differed. Therefore, it was decided to independently navigate the terrain. However, after inspecting a couple of stops on the fourth route, no data on the bus to Doklet beach was found. Had to shake local residents... With enormous (I am not exaggerating!) Labor, we managed to achieve one “turnout”. A girl selling tickets for long-distance long-distance flights kindly told us that bus number 3 really runs from Nha Trang to Zoklet, and it stops at 86 Tran Phu (avenue on the waterfront) near the Louisiana hotel. Only she couldn't tell us anything about the time.

Since the network wrote that people left for Zoklet at about 9:00, it was decided to come to the indicated place somewhere at 20 to nine and wait until half past nine. And if nothing comes, just go swimming and sunbathing on the city beach. At the indicated address, we really found a small stop (from the sea side) and even a sign on it. On which was written absolutely nothing interesting for us. There were no people, and after a while a small empty minibus drove up. A boy got out of it and went straight to us. As far as I understood, he offered to go to Doklet for 50 dongs. But I did not specify, for one person or for two, because Lena flatly refused to go with him. The enterprising boy left, but we stayed. Is this really the vaunted bus? I thought. After another half an hour of rather tense expectation, HE finally appeared:

As you can see, it looks one-on-one with city buses. Only on urban routes all the text on the “forehead” is white, while on suburban routes it is yellow. Travel at the beginning of November 2015 cost 24 dong per person one way. And do not stare at him with all your eyes, but actively vote with your hand, otherwise there is a chance that the bus will simply pass by.

We even managed to photograph the schedule, having previously asked the conductor for it:

Then I racked my brains for a long time how to interpret it correctly, until (it seems) I figured it out. In general, you need to read it with a snake. Each block (Tai I, Tai II, Tai III) corresponds to one particular bus. Moreover, Binh Tan - Ending station in Nha Trang, and as far as I understand, it coincides with the final of the same city four. For example, the top picture, block Tai I - at 5:00 the bus leaves for its first flight from Nha Trang and arrives at 6:50 in Zoklet, then at 7:05 it leaves back to Nha Trang, where it should be by 8:50, and so on. ... In general, there was a version that different blocks can somehow correlate with different days of the week, holidays and weekends. But in general, I think the puzzle has been solved correctly.

That is, according to the schedule, buses between Nha Trang and Dok Let beach run quite regularly from about 5 am to 6 pm. The flight from terminal to terminal lasts about two hours, in reality - a little longer. In Zoklet, the final stop is practically on the beach. On the way back, I recommend not to be greedy and, firstly, to come at least on the penultimate flight, and not on the last. And secondly, come to the stop ahead of time, it is better 20-30 minutes before the expected departure, since there is a chance to be late and not leave. For example, our return bus to Nha Trang left 10 minutes earlier than announced in the schedule. Well, the chance to take a seat increases, which is quite useful with an almost two-hour journey. By the way, in Nha Trang, this bus really runs along the city route number 4.

Zoklet Nha Trang beach, what's interesting there

Nothing. : o))) Deserted coast, sea, practically no people. But what coast and sea is a real paradise! The finest white sand, the clearest calm water with small waves, a long, gentle entrance to the sea, strong but pleasant wind. Compared to the beaches of Nha Trang, where it can be difficult even for adults to swim, Doklet is perfect place for kids. Here, admire for yourself:

There are several hotels on the beach, the most famous of which is the expensive White Sand Doclet. There was information on the network that the entrance to the beach was paid. Perhaps this is true if you go there through the hotel grounds. But doing so is completely optional. Personally, we just went from the stop towards the sea (50 meters), no one said a word to us. We walked a little along Zoklet to the right, there are few umbrellas, but they are not given even for money, only to guests of some hotel.

Further, umbrellas and some kind of tents like a cafe were also visible, but we did not go there, we returned back to the place near the bus stop. Here, two sun loungers and an umbrella cost us 80 dongs, we brought towels with us. You can also order refreshing drinks and have a snack in a cafe located almost on the beach itself. Both the food and the prices pleased us quite well - a dinner for two (noodles with vegetables, meat with a side dish, ice cream, mango juice, two beers) cost only 229 dongs. Pay attention - beer is only 12 dong, even cheaper than in a store in Nha Trang.

Our meal was overshadowed by a boy of about 14 who had come to beg for money, and secretly, obviously hiding from the eyes of the staff. He was usually dressed, did not look hungry, and soon disappeared from the "scene of the crime." Given the small number of tourists, this is far from the best place to make money.

Near the bus station there is a shower (paid) and a toilet (free). Taking into account the Vietnamese specifics (the presence in each toilet of a shower for flushing and washing), cunning tourists on the way back washed in the toilet. : o) In total, the whole trip cost us about 450 VND for two, with travel, lunch, sun loungers and beer-juice-ice cream on the beach.
