G p rosson. Rossony

For the first time in Rossony I visited it back in 2011, when we got to the place where the rafting began on the Sebezh lakes. And then, on a cloudy November morning, it seemed to me that this town is still that ass. But, naturally, I was very biased and biased, because in the spring weather, when everything blooms and smells and the month of tidying up has already come to the end, the impressions of any of our places remain very positive))
In general Rossony - pretty cute and cozy G. p. with a population of five thousand souls, located on the shore of the lake of the same name, 40 kilometers north of Polotsk and 7 kilometers from the border with Russia. Of the local religious buildings, it is worth noting the Glazko estate and the Ascension Church. But the fun doesn't end there.

How the northernmost regional center of Belarus lives and looks today, we look under the cut.

In the north, there is a practice of installing billboards at the entrances to regional centers with photographs of nominees or winners of the "Vitebsk Region Person of the Year" contest.

Sovetskaya Street is the central one in Rossony.

And if you believe the inscriptions on the memorial stone near the museum, then in September 1942 the partisans liberated the town from the invaders. What happened then, somehow they do not write. but the official release date for Rosson is July 12, 1944.

Today Rossony is a small but interesting urban village in the very north of Belarus, which can be visited on the way to Vitebsk or Polotsk.

In June we went to Belarus to have a rest at a recreation center on the lake. But just sitting on the lake is boring and you want some kind of movement. The nearest city (or rather a city settlement) turned out to be Rossony. A small town with a population of less than 5 thousand people. Moreover, literally 10 years ago, the number was even more, the city is simply dying out and this is noticeable in it.

1. The first stop was near the local bank. I really wanted to cash out from the card, but the bank on weekdays and work time was closed. Local he told us that there are "two ATM machines" in the city and indicated directions. We laughed at how he said and then drove on. The bank had a pond like this.

2. And even there is a love tree with locks that are hung at weddings. So far, there are few castles, and there are few people here. For a long time they will hang it.

3. This, I think, can be attributed to the very center of the city, and even in such a tiny city, relatively abandoned, there is a fountain. By the way, the city is located on the highway from Polotsk and you can call here from Russia and into Russia, but the road is so bad that I will not recommend it.

4. Everything around is clean, lawns, no unnecessary trees blocking the views. There are shops and even wi-fi, which is not clear how it works at all.

5. Very similar to the classical school. I don’t see any signs and don’t remember them, but I think this is so.

6. Local RCC. The area itself is very interesting in terms of lakes and tourist routes but myself locality has nothing really, but there is a hotel :)

7. Internet zone, but it is paid ... Surprising and what's the point?

8. I love Belarus and other posters

9. Everything is like ours basically. Only the flag of the other is developing.

10. You pay very much attention to the fact that there are few cars, and even the police and traffic police have seen

11. I also photographed my Daria with the name of the city and the local scene. Something she is so pleased with here :)

12. The city itself is boring and I don’t know what to do here for a long time. We were enough for a maximum of an hour, and then of them 20 minutes were spent looking for stores to buy cigarettes and beer.

13. Cannon ZIS-2 57 mm. Monument to Soldiers-Liberators.

14. Right next to residential buildings

15. Chapel, gazebo and doctor with a whale

16. Frog pond, there were so many ringing croaks, I have never seen this, how do the locals live here?

17. In the other part of the pond there is a beautiful Rossony estate, behind which is the Rossony lake, beautiful and quite large.

18. A residential building that listens to all the frogs.

19. Children's corner :)

20. View of the estate from back side... The state itself seems to be average. How it is used is currently not very clear. It seemed there was some kind of plate about art, but everything looked completely closed.

21. I didn't take a picture of the lake itself, but there is with my Dasha, there you can walk a little forward on the rotten boards. But I think there are more interesting approaches to the lake from other sides. We just didn't even look for

22. It was a surprise to find such a church or church. The condition is very decent

23.

24. Common private sector in the town

25. Photo from the car

26. And already at the very exit from the city I took photographs of the Orthodox Church of the Ascension. The architecture also thought a little unusual, but beautiful

This is how I saw a small town in Belarus. How is he to you?

If you want to help my travels and somehow can thank you for something. Can be done on this page -
