The Epiphany Monastery was founded in 1636 by the cornet D. Malinovsky and L. Drevinsky. Now it is located in the city of Kremenets, in a building that was built by S. Potocki in 1760.

The first school, hospital and printing house were opened in the Epiphany Monastery. The current church building combines two architectural style: baroque and pseudo-Russian. It has a three-tiered bell tower over the Holy Gates, a church and cells. The structure is one-aphonic, its facades are decorated with pilasters of the Tuscan order. The cells are adjacent to the facade of the church. Two projections form a courdoner. One risalit once served as a refectory, and the second was the abbot's chambers.

In 1959 the monastery was closed. In 1990, it was opened as a woman's. The church houses an icon of the Mother of God, an icon of St. Barbara with a particle of relics and an icon of St. Panteleimon with a particle of relics that radiates warmth.

Zbarazh castle

In 1626-1631, not far from the center of the city of Zbarazh, the Zbarazh Castle was founded. It was designed by van Peen, a Flemish architect inspired by Scamozzi's fortification project published in Italy.

The construction was carried out by the brothers Christopher and Yuri Zbarazhsky. In 1636 the Vishnevetsky princes became the owners of the castle. They fortified the defenses with casemated ramparts with 12-meter escarpments, bastions, a single-storey tower and a moat that surrounds the entire castle.

The width of the castle is 23 meters, it is square in plan. There are pentahedral bastions in four corners. Each bastion had tunnels that connected them with the castle courtyard and casemates.

The Zbarazh castle was one of the most powerful structures; it was armed with 50 cannons. According to the initial project, it was supposed to build 4-corner artillery towers, connected by fortress walls. The role of artillery increased, and the tops of the towers were demolished to the level of the curtains; inside, along the entire perimeter of the courtyard, one-story casemates were attached to the fortress walls.

In the courtyard there is a two-storey rectangular Renaissance palace. Above the main entrance there is a balcony on stone consoles. The facades of the casemates are also made in the Renaissance style. In 1649, this building played a key role during the uprising of the Cossacks under the leadership of B. Khmelnitsky. After the siege, the Zboriv Treaty was signed. Under the walls of the castle, Ivan Bohun was seriously wounded. All events were reflected in the novel with "fire and sword".

The temple is adorned with two square towers with stepped tapered ends and a large oval dome. The south tower of the cathedral used to be a clock, and the facades were decorated with statues. The ancient interior of the temple has not survived. In addition, such relics as the relics of Saint Charbel, the blessed martyrs Omelyan Kovch and Nicholas Charnetsky, the holy martyr Josaphat, as well as the relics of Saint Nicholas of Myra and a stone from the Holy Land, from the place where Jesus Christ delivered the Sermon on the Mount, are kept here. Since 2004, there has been a monument to Cardinal Joseph the Blind at the main entrance.

The Church of St. Nicholas was founded in 1606 for a Franciscan monastery. Only in 1832 it became the Nicholas Cathedral. In those days, a printing house and a fraternal school were opened in the monastery, and the "Kremenets grammar" was printed here.

This is an Orthodox church, which was originally made in the style of the Gothic Renaissance. After the reconstruction, the temple was given the baroque style. Now the building has become three-nave, with a polygonal altar volume. Its narthex is rectangular in plan, and the chapel has a dome. The central nave is covered with cross vaults, and the side naves are covered with semicircular vaults with stripping.

The middle nave is an independent volume in the interior and has one exit through the longitudinal walls to the side naves, which are decorated with portals in the late Baroque style.

In 1805, the Volyn Higher Gymnasium was opened here, thanks to which the city became one of the main centers of education in Ukraine. Carmelite monastery

The Carmelite Monastery is located in the city of Terebovlya, Ukraine. The monastery was built on the banks of the Gniezna River in 1617, first from wood, after 1635 - from stone. In 1635-1639, the main building of the monastery was erected - a stone church in the Renaissance style. In the 17th century, the monastery was repeatedly destroyed. The monastery complex was finally formed by the middle of the 18th century: the monastery was surrounded by a wall with four corner towers and loopholes. In the 19th century, the bell tower was completed over the entrance arch.

The monastery church kept the icons of the Mother of God and Jesus Christ, decorated with precious stones. During the First World War, the monastery property was plundered. In 1945, the Carmelites left Terebovlya and went to Poland, taking with them the icon of the Mother of God and the monastery property. Now the icon of the Mother of God is in Gdansk.

According to some sources, in Soviet times, a warehouse was located in the monastery, according to others - a factory of Christmas tree decorations. In 1991, the monastery was transferred to the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church. The monastic complex, well preserved, has survived to this day. Now it is a functioning church of St. Vladimir. The defensive wall around the monastery is worse preserved, only the southern part with two towers remained from it.

Koritovsky built a palace in its place, for which the remaining fortifications, towers and gates were demolished, and the building was surrounded by an ordinary fence.
