MOSCOW, May 30, FederalPress. The most popular tourist destination among Russians in the summer of 2017 is the Krasnodar Territory. Maya Lomidze, executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), stated this during a briefing at the National News Service (NSN) news agency.

“Russia leads the list of the most popular tourist destinations. Krasnodar Territory in the 2017 season is the number one direction. People go to Sochi. In second place is Crimea. The average price increase for Russian resorts is 15%, and we are seeing some stagnation in demand. I will note that last year in Krasnodar Territory 15 million people had a rest, and if we manage to repeat the result, the region will receive as many Russians as the 10 most popular foreign resorts in aggregate, ”Lomidze said.

“Turkey is the leader among outbound destinations this year. In second place is Greece, in third place is Spain. These two countries, one might say, are fighting for the second place. On the fourth - Cyprus, on the fifth - Bulgaria ", - added the head of ATOR.
